    They were doing their job, my guess is that my low body weight and BP had something to do with it. Eveyone else that went in the same time I did came and went. But the up side is is that I got extra snacks!!!

    The last time I donated turned into a nightmare for me. They ended up sticking me four times because half way thru the blood just stopped flowing. When asked if I had had enough I said "no it would be a waste and lets keep trying." My arm was soooo brusised, but it was a "rally" for someone in the county and I didn't want to give up. Got the job done, iced my arm for the rest of the day and said, "never again." I guess I'm not very good at it. Bobbi Bobbi A miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.

    Volunteer with the Geriatric patients (my all time favorite patients), if you can handle that maybe look into going a step farther. Bobbi A miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.

    I think that you have to be able to separate the two. I did hospital work and yeah there were some very very tough days because a "favorite" patient passed away or such. But you are there to do a job AND to help people. You have to have a certain amount of compassion for these people, but you have to find something outside of work to find a release for frustrations and anxiety, or it will eat you alive.
