I'm going through rough times I mentioned the idea to Jason, but he wasnt very keen on it....and he said I didnt have the balls to do it anyways. He's probably right. Its just that you make it look so classy and beautiful, it makes me think that I can do it too.

Hey it sounded good to me!! Besides, I dont think I will need to buy a car, because Jason LOVES driving me to and picking me up from work everyday!!!!! It's like I have my own personal (and very handsome I might add) chauffeur! Although, he is a bit cranky in the mornings :) Some people just arent very chipper at 7 am! She said that all she could find was that the State of Texas offers a tax exemption on motor vehicle sales (152.086) for orthopedically disabled individuals. She said that unfortunately, as is usually the case in the tax code, there is no concrete definition of what constitutes an orthopedic disability. She sent in a request for information to the State because she said she has to know if it’s true or if her defensive driving instructor was just full of shit. I will let you know what she says when (IF) she gets a response. my body, my choice

I dont think thats true. Maybe we dont directly make them much money, but we spark the interest of people wanting to make tandems. The tandems in turn make the DZ money. I think that when tandem students come out to make thier first jump and see all the fun jumpers having a good time, it sparks thier interest to continue jumping. Us fun jumpers market skydiving by simply wearing skydiving t-shirts everyday, or bragging about skydiving while at the bar, or talking to people we work with or go to school with, we get a lot of people interested in making tandems. I think with out fun jumpers, tandem business would suffer. Unfortunately some dropzones dont recognize that and in turn a lot of the times do not treat their most loyal customers very well. Which sucks, but such is life.

I moved to Texas from Michigan 2 years ago, and lost touch with a lot of friends. But since joining myspace, I have gotten in touch with so many of them! My best friend from jr. high even found me! I lost touch with him when I was a freshman in high school, and saw him once right before I started college, but that was it. It was like he dissapeared right off the face of the earth! We we so close and it was sad to lose contact with him. And I found out he had been living in Corpus Christi up until this past year! So we were only a few hours away from eachother! But he said he was curious to see if I was on myspace, and searched through like, a million Alicia's until he found me. Even weirder though, he had an ex-girlfriend who went to the same high school as me, but was 2 years ahead of me, whose younger sister was in my grade. And I was looking at her myspace page, and one of her friends had a picture of skydiving, so I clicked on it. And I saw that it was her younger sister! She jumps at Techumseh, which is the dz my parents jumped at before they moved here! I thought that was so cool! Small world isn't it? Edited to add: I'm not sure if she is on DZ.com ever, but if she is i'd like to say hi! I saw a pic of her with Chrissay on her page, maybe you know if she has a dz.com name??? I just dont want to come off as a weirdo or anything lol, I just think its so cool that we went to the same high school (i think, i know her sister went to my high school), never crossed paths, but both are skydivers now! my body, my choice

Yeah, I have no clue. I mean, 5'2'' is short but not THAT short. I think lack of height would be a disability if you were really short, like 3 feet tall. But not 5'2''. The thought of saving money was just really nice since I dont have much to begin with. my body, my choice

One of the tax accountants at my work swears to me that under the American's with Disabilities Act, people who are under 5'2'' (62 inches) are exempt from paying sales tax on a vehicle. I am 5'1'' and need to buy a new car, and it would be very cool if I could save some $$$, but I can't find any documentation to back this claim up. She said she first heard about it while taking defensive driving. I'm not very good at searching things on the internet, and I've looked everywhere I can think of, but I cant find anything. Sweet. I didnt know Syraya started freeflying! Is her fall rate fast or slow? Mine is pretty slow, and everyone who has been coaching me told me its better to get some more jumps and work on my fall rate controll before I order pants. It sucks cuz I really want some so I can look like a cool freeflyer (jk) But I guess I should listen to the Pro's, since they know what they're talking about!! But when I do order pants, I'll probably get Firefly. Everyone says they are really great and really durable, plus they have really good prices, and have a good look to them. I really want an Ouragan suit one day too cuz they look awesome, but I personally couldnt justify spending that much money on my first suit . Not like I have the money anyway lol! But one day when I am a badass or on a team or something, I would absolutely love to have one made for me, when I know more of what I need out of a suit! Then I'll spend the money! I was told that it's better to get the payments because in the cash option they still give it to you in payments, but they arent set payments. So one year they could give you $20,000 the next year $5,000 ect...depending on how much they have. And that if you get payments they'll give you the same amount every year i.e. $500,000 every year for 26 years. Any one know if this is true, or exactly how the cash option and payment option really works?? I always thought the cash option was that you would get all the money at once you would just have to pay WAY more taxes, and if you did payments you would get the whole amount and pay regular amounts of taxes but its spread over 26 years. my body, my choice

I've never turned in one, but I work in accounts payable and I'm the one who has to check all your huge, disorganized, sloppy, messy reports and basically re-do them because they dont know what they are doing, even though we explane it to them over and over again everytime we receive a report.
