    I work with a family that has it and they are doing fine. If you can make it through your early years, life gets better. They come in occassionally for a broken bone from simple tasks. Guy broke his femur while propping a box on his leg from back of truck. It depends on how bad it is. Some kids get pelvic fractures while mom changes their diapers. Some do not make it past the age of 3. Just depends. There are prob things they can do now to help strengthen the bones. Let's have fun! :)

    Girl, you should have asked me. This is my area. For a Bone age study at Shands we used to just do one hand xray. Though there could be other factors involved or an inquisitive doc/rad who would like additional parts xrayed. Def nothing to worry about and not a complicated exam. Whatever gets xrayed, they pull out some books as guides and try to determine the growth rate. I had an interesting dude the other night whose plates had not fused and he was in his 20s. He looked freakin 13! I had to ask for his id! I am not sure what syndrome he had, but dude may look 20 when he is 50 and that is NOT a bad thing!! Let's have fun! :)
