I use the expression "Fucking white people" when in public as I see white people being either racist or celebrating their white privilege in a minority's face. It tends to get a shocked response from the fucking white people, and a deep laugh from those being oppressed by the fucking white people. Growing up in poor neighborhoods with a fair amount of police activity sure showed a LOT of racism and white privilege. Systemic racism in America continues to keep minorities trapped "where they should be" - according to white wingers.

Our IT director has started using ChatGPT for project plans, instructions for end users, reports to the executive level, and communicating from an engineering level to a more generic and easily understood level. Some people here wouldn't understand that though. The insistence on removing education is painful to see, and yet they are then confused over the need for foreigners to be granted visas to fulfill the need in America for advanced engineering jobs. Some Americans appear to be quite proud of their ignorance. This thread is yet more proof of that as well. I still cannot get ChatGPT to configure a multi-site BGP/ISIS/EIGRP network design, though it will refer me to the needed information to understanding those backbone protocols.

A large portion of black folks get their own version of courtesy warnings when interacting with cops. Seems to be part of the institutional racism America "doesn't have".

I grew up poor, in a single mother household most of my younger life. Just not the inner city neighborhoods that lack any semblance of hope for a better life.

A couple of skydiver friends that have felt the need to bring a handgun riding with me to the DZ. Only to forget about it. A weapon in MY vehicle I have no idea about. Thankfully one of the responsible grandkids found the first one (I found the second one with his bag of weed). Think about that. I was fecking livid.

It's more paranoid than selfish, but to some degree it is selfish IMO. It's also a HUGE responsibility, one that's often forgotten or ignored.

The well regulated part could really use a bit more attention. At least some of the recent shooting have held the "responsible" gun owner partly responsible for their careless ownership and easy access to the weapons. We need more of that IMO. Someone steals or accesses a weapon not securely stored? 10 years minimum. Death as a result of said access to weapon, 20 years. We have way too many irresponsible gun owners.

It's been an awesome experience here. It really expanded friendships in skydiving, around the world, and many in person meets thanks to DZ.com. I've learned a lot, met some great friends, a moderator that changed my heart and my life, found my fellow assholes, and discovered the depths of ignorance and imaginary truths that I never expected.
