  1. Wow more people have actually come down this far than I thought. I was born and raised there, not much of an exciting town. So you got to stay at good ol Wackin Hut! I was just wondering, cause everytime I pass over it I can imagine jujmping from it, but only in my dreams for now
  2. I didn't want to use the name of the bridge incase of violating the rules. It stands about 265 feet. I was wondering if many people have jumped it, or know about it? Thanks. Dale ~Dale
  3. Heading out to the DZ Aggieland for the first time in 5 months. See how things have changed and meet up with the gang again. Maybe even throw some practice packing in. ~Dale
  4. I pulled one of the molex connectors off of the 4 wire plug. I used the Red wire as the power with a jumper to the radio signal which turns the amp on. Then I used the ground closest to the red wire. So you should have an extra yellow wire and it's black ground. ~Dale
  5. I have been a die hard BTTF fan since day one. I used to take a little buggy cart with a bucket in the certain, and pour the bottoms of beer cans in it with random trash like the Mr. Fusion in the 2nd one . I own the trilogy too. I saw the real car used in the movie too. Nice find on the site. ~Dale
  6. I powered a 200 Watt MTX amp with my old Rosewill 400watt PSU for a computer. The 12v rail on it was rated for 32 amps and I forget the MTX, but it was lower. It worked pretty well too. ~Dale
  7. HAHAHA, I found that really funny. ~Dale
  8. Dredg - The Canyon Behind Her Iced Earth - Excalibur (At 2:49) Limp Bizkit - Re-Arranged (At 2:18) Moby - Everloving Orbital - Halcyon & On & On 30 Seconds to Mars - 93 Million Miles (At 4:50) Yea I think I am going to be videographer later on, I am obsessed with timing skydiving videos to music that fit the surroundings
  9. A 90 footer?! Wow, that is high, I take it the landing didn't hurt cause you did it again. How do you go about landing in water that high without hurting yourself. I have learned not to keep your arms out and wear shoes on 40+ cause if not it hurts. Care to share your technique to landing from that high? Thanks. Dale ~Dale
  10. I am wondering if there are any active jumpers in Texas right now? I live in College Station and would love to go out and watch when you guys jump, if you don't mind a non-baser tagging along . ~Dale
  11. Hahaha, it is very close to 97, but there are no brakes yet so I think the ride would be a little hectic. ~Dale
  12. Also, anyone have a junk container, that is no longer in use? I need something to contain the canopy and it would just be way easier to hook it up to a real container that already has the cutaway feature and enclosure. Just check my lines and they were way off, fixed the line lengths and now it is ready for flight
  13. I took some more pics, of the new lines and inside cell shot. It is a 7 cell canopy, and the last pic is it in the process of being packed. I found a radio from a friend who does alot of RC Airplane flying, now I need some kind of high torque servo with some leverage on it. Hey AdamSR, do you know who the guy was? If so, I wonder what kind of servos he was using? Thanks Guys! http://mkiiiperformance.net/rcparachute3.jpg http://mkiiiperformance.net/rcparachute4.jpg http://mkiiiperformance.net/rcparachute5.jpg ~Dale
  14. Hmmm, you might be on to something with the round reserve
  15. I got an idea to make a cheap inexpensive RC parachute. Main reason, I would mount a camera on it, and drop it from crazy spots (Really I am obsessed). I am quite obsessed with the whole parachute skydive thing, and it just seems to get stronger everyday . Anyways, I haven't really thought of a way to protect the camera incase of a malfunction . I am actually not sure on the servos I plan on using either. I am going to have to use something that can pull in 1-2 feet of line in a couple seconds. Anyways to the good stuff, the parachute is done. It is approximately 100 sq/ft, and was sewn at a local fabric shop. I used a Para foil kite, identical design to an elliptical parachute, and blew up the design 300% at a printing shop. The fabric shop did an awesome job sewing it and designing their own templates for the cell dividers. I am thinking of maybe putting a little doll on the end with the camera mounted on his/her helmet, but that require some thought on the brake lines from his/her hands, but a good spot to mount the servos. Here are some pics of the canopy, disregard the strings/length, I am missing a few and those were there as guides for the new string. I plan on using some 40lb. nylon string from Wal-Mart. http://mkiiiperformance.net/rcparachute.jpg http://mkiiiperformance.net/rcparachute2.jpg Let me know what you guys think. Ohh yea the parachute was made out of a really really light polyester(Nylon was way to expensive), and is close to 0 porosity. ~Dale
  16. LOL.... yea I like going low(on the game only) cause the ground rush. I will definitely work on my exit out of the jet . Yea that "magic" base rig on the bike is a new trick, give it time to catch on to the world . ~Dale
  17. I haven't been able to work towards my A license at all in the past 4 months. Main reason is, I have to really concentrate on school this semester, and not very much money. I forgot all about my San Andres game so I decided to throw a video together. As close as I can get right now . Right Click and Save as please. http://mkiiiperformance.net/GTA.wmv ~Dale
  18. I am going to join the Texas A&M Aggies over Texas skydiving club. I am new to it, but have been a fan since I was 8. Anyways, I am pretty sure I have to provide my own gear and was wondering what would be the best free fall gear for a noob? When I say gear I mean everything I need to jump. Thanks. ~Dale
  19. Video starts off with text that say, "A Year In The Life". The video is about 10 minutes long. At the end the guy jumps from a hotel in the middle of New York and coasts inbetween the buildings and lands on the street. A link would be awesome, thanks in advance. ~Dale
