My english teacher wants us to bring some poems to class for reading. i figured i'd get some of my dads old poems to recite for class,so when i was at my mom's this weekend i went through his poems. first before you read this to my knoledge my dad never skydived in his life but this poem got me thinking if he did the poem was writen in the early to mid 60's just thought it was kinda funny,well here's the poen....... down (in freefall and free verse) As the plane flys on alone my static line plays out, as air rushing through silk and line I count: ! second, 2seconds-three as downward I plunge. suddenly a quick jerk everything seems upended, the air up here seems cold i look aloft to check as downward i drift: Mother earth seems far away so slowly i decend clutching harness pulling lines my heart pounds furiously as downward i glide the ground now rushes up so fast it's frightening, I drop my chin,bend my knees i hit,roll,My chute collapses I am down. (in pen just below the poen it says) "from one of my latest hobbies(sports)" im just wondering if my dad did a jump n the 60's and never told any of his kids or wife. if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN my site

hey got to lake city fl this evening to bring my mom a puter just got it on line . too bad i cant make it to any of the dz here in fla.(no rig or time) but its nice to see my neice! my mom likes the puter! my brother gave it to her and i suped it up.
