  1. Nice one! I will have to check it out when I get to my home computer, for some reason it won't load on my work computer It was great seeing you this weekend, thanks for the awesome jumps!
  2. So maybe I missed the SummerFest post, but who's gonna be there? I'm getting in late tonight along with a few other Michigan peeps then heading to Rantoul on Sunday. Vallerina will you be there?? You make a wonderful personal tour guide!
  3. I'm jealous, his was waaayyy better than mine!!
  4. teehee, me too! Funny thing is my toga is purple for the toga party!!
  5. Happy b-day girl! I hope you have a wonderful day
  6. Here is a pretty informational website I stumbled across when I was researching the same thing: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
  7. Is it a Sony camera? Sony will repair your camera for a flat fee of $269.00. They actually contract out Precision Camera to do the work. I have known about 5 people to send in their camera for repair and they received them back in about 10 days. I sent mine in and it took 8 weeks. They had to order 2 new boards for it so I definately got my moneys worth out of it. It sucks that it took so long though. I had a list of about 10 items that they needed to fix and it was all covered under the flat fee. My boyfriend sent in his camera to get repaired a couple of years ago, the thing basically didn't work at all. Just got a black screen and some audio when you tried to record and they fixed his right up too.
  8. This is the exact reason why I am looking at getting a PM background. I don't think I have a very strong resume and want to strengthen it w/o going back to school right now. I do have 3 + year mgmt experience, project leader exp and own a successful business, but I just don't think it is strong enough to compete with others out there. This is in my plans as well. My company will pay for 90% of your MBA if you are at a certain salary grade so hopefully I am able to advance in the next few months. If not, then I will lay the $$ out myself. Thanks, I will check that out. Well it sounds like I am on the right track at least. Thanks for the info & feedback, it is very helpful
  9. DOH! I'm an ass! Thanks for that tip This is good to hear, if this job doesn't work out, sounds like getting the PM background will help out my resume at least.
  10. Congrats everyone! Nice article too...heads down..
  11. Well, Tecumseh is not the closest for you, but we do have a Super Otter, great facilities, landing area and a great vibe. Check us out: www.skydivetecumseh.com
  12. We jump all winter long, as long as the temperature is above 40 degrees. Except for New Years day, it could be 0 degrees and we would still jump. It is the best way to bring in the New Year!
  13. Thanks everyone for the info, it is all very helpful! I work for a division of a Bank, so I can see my company really valuing the certification. I think I will go ahead and take the online course, I think it will show that I am all about taking initiative about learning more and brushing up on my project mgmt skills in a more formal way.
  14. I'm looking at a Business Analyst position at work. Here are some of the requirements: -business analysis, project initiation, project plan development, system testing, problem resolutions, cost and revenue analysis, competitive analysis, Business Process Modeling and Improvement Trends. I was looking for an online certificate program that may help me build a stronger background. I came across this Project Management Institution certification. Is this type of certification held highly? Anyone have any experience with it? Anyone know of a simple certification course for Analysts but not a Masters Program? A local college here is offering an online course in Project Management Fundamentals which is suppose to help you prepare for certifications that the Project Management Institution offers. It is only $79.00 so it didn't seem too bad. I figured it would be a step in getting some more background in the position at work. So...anyone have any recommendations?
  15. You're right, Cocheese does rock!! Lucky me gets to see him at the home DZ
  16. I hope you heal fast Amy! Sending some *love* and healing *vibes* to you.
  17. :6:0 We were playing the cloud game for most of the weekend so I didn't get in the air until I knew I wouldn't be riding the plane down. Had a great time at the Canadian Invasion boogie. 2 members of the Misty Blues jumped the American and Canadian flag on Saturday night. I had a great two way freefly with my boyfriend. Got some points on our heads and our feet. Also worked on docking on a formation headdown. And most importantly, I passed my first AFF air evaluation!!!! Only 2 more to go!

  21. I have a Bev suit and absolutely love it. It is very comfortable and fits me really well. I have found it to be very durable so far, I don't have that many jumps on it, probably about 150, but it still looks brand new. I will definately buy another.
