  1. Hey Val, The bunkhouse on the DZ is ok as long as it isn't raining, because then it floods. The IHOP is a better choice. It has a kitchen and is relatively clean. The only thing is that if there are teams in they get the priority and may both be full. In that case you can stay with me as long as you clear it with Sunshine as she may get jealous....
  2. Hey sunshine, I love mondays at my job!!! hehehe
  3. All I have to say is you better start taking your vitamins because you'll need them.................Hi Val!!!
  4. Crack is whack!!! I thought you were organizing the trip? You're too funny!!!!
  5. Trip is being organized from SDC to Canton Air Sports this coming weekend. Contact Sunshine..........
  6. Awww, how cute. Sounds like quite the little challenge you have there. I can definately handle it but I don't think the two of you could.
  7. So what are you saying, I can mess with you too?
  8. Hey, you had the chance to go. You missed a good time with lots of alcohol and naked people. Wait, I know why you didn't go. Because you're lame!!!!! All the cool people were there!!!!
  9. I just want to start off by saying Bridgeday totally rocked this year!! Maybe next year the weather will be a little better. Just over 400 jumpers made around 600 jumps from the bridge. For all of you that registered and went thru the video waivers I was working one of the cameras as I do every year. Hope to see everyone again next year!!!!!
  10. I used my Coach rating quite a bit prior to getting my AFF rating. But I only had the Coach rating for about four months before my AFF. Actually the only thing the Coach rating did for me was to give me some experience teaching dive flows prior to the AFF. It didn't help me at all otherwise. The type of flying you need to do for the AFF is like no other. Slot flying and manuever flying are the keys to getting the rating. RW experience can be a big help and freeflying is good too. The best advice I can give you is to get with someone who recently went through the course to coach you on what to expect. It's a hard course, and I had one of the toughest evaluators out there (Jay Stokes) but looking back I can't believe everyone out there doesn't have this rating!!Quote
  11. At my DZ we get paid $50 just for teaching the class and on top of that $5.00 per student for the general FJC. When I transition students over to the AFF ground prep it's an additional $35. Quote
  12. I wear a hard helmet with an open face. I just feel that it offers enough protection and when a student is going through a "circle of awarness" the student can see me clearly and when I smile at them it helps to put them at ease.........Quote
  13. Canton Air Sports is one of the best DZ's I've ever been to. The staff is exceptional and always willing to help you with anything you need. The Chief Instructor and Assistant Chief Instructors out there are by far the best skydivers I've ever met. It's probably the most friendly DZ around with the best prices for your student progression. I would have to say if you're looking to make your first skydive or you're a seasoned skydiver this place is for you...
