Free The Parks ! This is a perfect example of how BASE jumping can be safely enjoyed without endangering others. It's time for BASE jumping to be re-evaluated by the NPS as a legitimate sport.

DJ, Morpheus Technologies is out of Z-hills also. They build some really nice BASE gear and do a FJC too. Rob and Kathy are super nice. What better way to learn than from one of the manufacturers. They're at www.baserigs.com

Yo Monkeyman, Sounds to me like your ready for a FJC. I'd personally recommend Johnny Utah . He just held a FJC over Memorial Day and I think he holds another one over the Labor Day weekend. Check him out at www.johnnyutah.com. Also, there is a ton of info here at Dropzone and over at Blinc (blincmagazine.com) that can practically answer any question you have on BASE ( just do a search ). Have fun

Has anyone ever heard of putting beeswax or something else (rubbing it in) to your Type 2A (white loops) for your 3 ring on your risers, to help stop them from getting a little fuzzy and possibly fraying ?

You can custom the fit on your Hanwags with a pair of insoles from you local climbing / hiking store. I use Superfeet insoles and they add a little extra cushioning as well , for those um hard landings.
