Talking of hard openings: I had a real pisser with a sabre 150 dont know how, but split my finger on left hand wide open, almost knocked me unconcious, and caused me severe back pain for 6 months. Evantualy asked a rigger to check my gear and he said the pilot chute was way too big for the size of the canopy. Had new smaller PC fitted, and never a problem since(touch wood!) Spent 10 days at Z-Hills last Nov. and overheard conversation on the way up to altitude between fellow Brit and the jumpmaster: Brit:"Excuse me Mr. senior person on board the aircraft, but I'm a belly flier and will be pulling at 3000 feet, should I go 5 seconds after them Cause they are pulling at 2500 feet and 5 seconds before them cause they are head downers.... blah...blah....blah.......drone....drone......blah Goddamn Yankee Jumpmaster:"Hey Dude you're in America now, when the door opens just fuckin' jump man and have some fun!! I like your style but what I'd really like to know is have any of you "Dudes" been over to little old England to jump and had the culture shock the other way around?? The weather here sucks!!! Forgot to mention bye the way, this whole thing is my brother's fault 'cos he leant me his sabre 150 which I stupidly jumped- had a shit hard opening which some how broke a finger on my left hand and triggered the sciatica. Lesson learned: If I ever jump a sabre 150 again I'm gonna stick my fingers up my ass!!! Don't forget to pull your stopping ropes!

Anyone else out there suffered from sciatica?? The pain is driving me nuts!! Can't jump, can't sit down, lie down etc etc. How long does it take to get better?? Sob! sob! I need therapy AAAGGGGHHHHHH!! Don't forget to pull your stopping ropes!

Picked up my new Icon Sport with Pilot 150 Main a couple of months ago. Done 30 jumps on it now and it's a winner. After jumping a Sabre 150 I just couldn't believe that an opening could be sooooo soft! Also had the modification done to the leg straps and cured the slipping problem.
