  1. I understand you can do all of this with post production, and on "older" models you use to have all of those buttons. But if i want to make the montage on the camera as i'm filming (this is how we do it at our DZ, all that is left is to add music), and with a camera like the TRV22, i dont have any choice about using the touchscreen, right? i'm asking this because with the DBox for the TRV22, i dont have access to the touchscreen.... i'm still learning....thx for your help guys, greatly appreciated
  2. this may sound stupid, but if you dont want to use your touch screens, how do you control all of the fade effects and stuff to get a nice looking video?
  3. as i was playing with the camera yesterday, i realized you still have to select a white balance option. i really dont want to select auto white balance (right?), so do you set it to outdoor? thx again
  4. It was very dark.... being in Canada, our summers are quite short, we sometimes try to squeeze every bit of jumping we can out of those few warm days... thx a lot for your input, i greatly appreciate it! Frank
  5. the other day we jumped really late and it was very dark. we had the same settings, but the result wasnt too clear, so i was wondering if there was something i could do with settings?
  6. Hi to all i just got my digital rebel. i usually shoot tandems with 35mm using the TV 500(sunny)/350(cloudy, dawn) settings. but with the digital rebel, does any of you use the dusk/dawn settings for that time of day? thx
  7. At dawn, would you use the same settings?
  8. I have to say that ed at conceptus immediatly offered to change it for free.
  9. Good morning to all i read the previous thread about tongue switches getting stuck and firing non stop. last w/e, my brand new tongue switch (about 20 jumps) crapped out on me. The weird thing is, it worked for a while if i just pressed the switch with my finger (i always take a pic on the airplane for a test), but with my tongue it didnt work at all(i can hear so many jokes coming my way right now...). After a while testing and playing with it, it just didnt work at all. it was never stuck, it just stopped shooting. did it happen to anybody else, can someone shed some light here? i'll try to get conceptus to change it. but that tandem student wasnt too happy to hear that he wont get any freefall pictures. crap!
  10. paragear? sorry, dont know the clicky stuff....
  11. Being a TM and also a vidiot, i wouldnt allow you to even think about it for another good 300-500 jumps, depending what kind of jumps they are. If i were you, i would concentrate more on getting info from the actual cameramen on the DZ and try to be current, and maintain yourself current. The way things go, probably by the time you're ready to film tandems, prices, technology and equipment will be significantly different. So dont go out and get equipment right now, just gather information and stay current... oh, and skydive and have fun as well! my 2 cents...
  12. good morning to all i know this is an old thread, but i was reading it as i just bought a trv22 with the BH dbox. I didnt cut the strap and i think it fits well with a bit of extra shims. actually, i think the strap makes for good padding inside the box. for those of you who did cut the strap off, did you jump with it first or do you know something i dont know? just looking for some extra input before i jump with it, thanks!
  13. Hi does anybody now if someone is offering a D-Box for the new Sony HC20-30-40? thanks
