There were only 2 real 180's One by me on the second jump shown. Otherwise, the lens is just so wide that you catch glimpses of it on those 90 degree off-headings... ya know. Yeah, at least thats what I like to think, its the lens _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

The last 10 minutes of jumping is going on now... Will be back home and posting a video link in a few days. I'm putting my money down for over 1000 jumps completed off this tower in 3 days.

I really enjoyed the service on KLM, inexpensive and very good. You'll prob stop in Amsterdam, but I didn't find that too bad of a deal _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Interestingly enough, I was scared to jump a wet canopy at Bridge Day... but everyone said it'd be fine, just pack it. In fact, it may open faster because its wet making it 'slicker.' I partially agree with that theory in regards to the canopy, but I think the lines are what worry me now. Tension knots, uneven sequence of line deployment... makes sense. I was told by experienced swoopers to be careful stowing my lines on my main after it was wet because they're suseptible to tension knots being so terribly thin (HMA lines). This makes more sense to me. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

MEMORIES, FUNNY STORIES, PICS: Mariann Kramer
brits17 replied to arlo's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
Memory: 6 years ago, I was a pint sized newb at my first boogie in Skydive Dallas. First person I see land, hot swooper! When I asked who it was, I exclaimed "that's a GIRL?!" Marianne was an instant hero to me, someone I wanted to follow along the way. Always someone I looked up to, an inspiration and example to many. She is missed, and yet another loss thats hard to swallow Fly free friends. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com -

This is a long shot but I'm arriving in Stavanger on the afternoon of August 1. The folks I was sharing accomodations with are no longer going, and I'd really like to be able to split costs. I have to stay the night before catching the ferry to Lysebotn on the 2nd. Bringing a massive tent, food and such. If anyone is arriving at this time, or knows where I can stay in Stavanger for less than $100/night, please PM. Thanks.! _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Catching air underneath 'flaps' or a bridle at high speeds is what you want to avoid. So doing a front or back loop at 120 mph may not present a great of risk as the same maneuver or head down position at 180 mph... but there's still a slight risk involved. Basically you want your container exposed to the least amount of air possible in freefall. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Key features: velcroless, stiff tuck tabs on riser covers, reserve, and main flaps, BOC or pud, total bridle protection. Every used rig is on a case by case basis and is best to have a rigger examine it before deciding if its 'freefly safe.' Do not sitfly in the Dolphin. In many many circumstances, flaps have come open, bridles are exposed... and nasty situations can arise quickly. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Nothing can take away from the killer vibe and perma-smiles we all had after it completed. Cheers to Kirsten and Kimmy for the organization, and Jamie for all the boogie work. Thanks girls, I can't believe ya'll got me to flop around on my belly most of the weekend. Strange... _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

YIKES!! A 150 is never optimal in BASE. I'm 105 lbs loaded at .58 on a Raven I, and it is ground hungry with a good amount of forward speed. I would not recommend this canopy to land in tight spots. A BASE specific 185ish canopy is much closer to 'ideal.' _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

I've never missed Skyfest... and it gets better every year. There's just not enough hours in the day and night to squeeze it all into a single weekend. With nights I don't remember and friends I'll never forget.

Letting go of the door for the LAST time...
brits17 replied to AFFI's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hey Mykel I'm sorry to hear that. I still have the entire roll of pictures from Chris Day's tandem day... what fun we all had. You've contributed much to skydiving since then. -
Yes I know folks buy and sell BD passes every year. I'm not sure what info Jason requires from the participants however, so best to ask him. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Way cool... My grandmother practically raised me during the time I was in elementary and middle school. She picked me up every day from school to drive me cross city to and from gym practice. And still she found the energy to feed me, take me shopping, and host my friends. She did much of the same with my 10 year younger brother. Even now, she can still run circles around most women her age. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

My Icarus Safire used to open great... it had the modification thats now used on the Safire2. I second the opinion on the XFire as well. Hope you aren't pulling standing up on a beginner board There was a big fall rate difference b/w my beginner and advanced board. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
