  1. Thanks, but please register and log in so I can know who I am thanking.
  2. Yeah, Gary. I was just a dumbass tourist who didn't know any better. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. /s
  3. No, I haven't lost my logbook. I just thought I would share a little tip with you guys. I travel quite a lot and one good habit I have is scanning all my important documents (passport, flight tickets, traveller's cheques etc.) and mailing the .jpgs to my Hotmail account before leaving. I reckon this way it would be a lot easier should stuff get lost/stolen (see the mentality us South Africans approach life with?). Anyway, before my trip to Skydance I thought 'Well hell, my logbook is a LOT more important than my passport - you can always get another passport right?'. So I scanned it, mailed it to myself, my sister and left a copy on my web-site. Anyway, just a little tip that some of you might find useful (especially if like me you don't have a recognized license yet). /s PS if you don't own a scanner, mail your log book to me here in London and I'll do it for you! hahahahaha, that was a joke - please don't!

    SPELLING

a smal? A malfunction so bad people on the ground could smell it! I'll buy some beer on the way home and try and drink myself into a more creative state of mind. OK, now we REALLY need FFF, where is he? /s
  5. I am not allowed to freefly on my own? Does this mean just practicing to get into a sit is out of the question? But I can do countless so many backloops for 45 seconds and that is considered safe and allowed? This is amazing! I am NOT a reckless person (bought cypres along with my rig, own a pro track and am considering buying a dytter as well if I am going to seriously try freeflying), but I find those rules a little draconian to say the least! If this means staying belly down for 10 seconds until the JM can't see me then fine. Hope somebody from the BPA isn't reading this! hahahahaha /s (hmmm, might have to remove all my details from my profile now in the interests of anonymity!)

Yo Wingnut! Time to totally humiliate the DZ.com chicks. All you guys start posting your nakie pics. I'll post mine as soon as I get home in half an hour (damn, and it's a cold day too ) /s
  7. It certainly does, I know I am going to be scared shitless on the following jump. It's just nice to know that that is to be expected. Thanks for sharing! NEXT!!! /s

  9. Also, do the AJ Hackett Bungi next to Circus Circus. Ask Adam the Aussie jumpmaster if he remembers a South African giving him loads of shit the beginning of December. (then prepare for a pretty scary jump) hahahahaha I've got video of me shouting 'aussie wanker' at him seconds before the count-down.
  10. Remember : prostitution is LEGAL in Vegas! Woo-hoo! (take some extra $$$ and some XXX pics!)
  11. Thanks Grogs! NEXT!!! /s
  12. Zennie you are such a geek! Now to get back to drooling over pics of the 22" Iiyama Diamondtron I'm getting (pr0n will never have looked so good) /s
  13. Jessica's right, the Hillbillies were way too classy and intelligent to be from Texas. (oooooh, now I'm gonna be dodging wingnuts!)
  14. When I try listing skydivers by country, I get a CGI error. /s
  15. Personally I enjoy the camaraderie of the ride to altitude (not the farting though, even when I'm the guilty one) /s ps Man I must have posted more than 20 times today, when my boss gets back from her holiday next week Monday, I'm going to be in DEEP shit! hahahahaha
  16. Sorry, but I am going to keep bumping this post back up until somebody who has chopped shares their story with us. This could be a good thread dammit! /s

that second split... without the leotard... when she got stuck to the floor...
  18. What's the rule again? You can scuba dive directly after skydiving (no, I don't mean a water jump WITH scuba gear Mr. Bond). But you can't skydive for X amount of days after scuba-diving. What does X = again? /s
  19. Damn Pammi! Now you've gone and gotten all us geeky skydivers waaaaay excited! woo-hoo! /s
  20. haha Don't worry about the disclaimer, dude - I'm not American and I won't sue your ass.
  21. I don't quite buy into this 'if you haven't skydived, you don't know what it's all about' stuff. I have a friend who has never (and will never) make a jump. He has, however ridden through Africa (from Cape Town to Egypt) on his own on his motorbike, for fun he used to go down mountain passes on his speed skates (roller blades, using a friend on a motorbike to slow him down near the bottom) and at the moment he is mountain-biking semi-professionally in Switzerland. For me to tell him he hasn't lived because he doesn't skydive, who be beyond ludicrous (and probably earn me a well-deserved kick in the nuts). I hope to continue skydiving, but I also intend to continue mountain-biking. Don't judge people by their T-shirts just because they aren't skydivers - that would be a bit short-sighted and arrogant. I am not having a go at any of you guys, just remember that skydiving isn't for everybody and if somebody gets his/her kicks from another (less extreme) sport - good on them! /s

    the Dutch oven?
  23. Fine with me, because I have : 'diplomatik immooooonity'.
  24. I know that at some stage in my skydiving career I will have to deal with my first malfunction. I am confident in my ability to chop and go for silver. However I would like to hear from those of you who have already done it - *why did you have to chop? *what are your recollections of the skydive (from exit to landing the reserve) *how soon after did you skydive again? *what was your state of mind on your next skydive? *how did your family react when you told them about it (you did tell them didn't you???) I was not sure whether or not to post this in the 'Safety and training' forum, but I want to know the psychological effects as well, so figured this was the forum to post to. Anyway, this forum is as comfortable as my oldest underpants...

Hmmm if the 3 of us ever shared a load it would be really interesting - 2 heavy breathers and 1 skreamer!
