    i've always thought that it's the behavior that should be considered in sentencing, not the nuances of each individual person. if you do the crime, you do the time. we have niether the time nor the tax dollars to figure out why people do the things they do. we just make the punishment fit the crime and move on.     capatilism is what makes this the greatest country on the face of the earth. there will always be people who don't get a fair shake and those who would rather watch tv than learn...but if there is no competition in economy, your country ends up like the USSR, dead. NBFT

    whoa there cowboy...you're wrong(way) for this reason: there is no important difference between blacks and whites; there are important differences between gay couples and traditional couples. see my previous post for one example as well as the civic/governmental consequences that would arise.     there's a reason nature meant for a child to be brought up by one man and one woman. each gender is inherently better at certain aspects of child rearing. eg. when i was a kid, my dad kept my ass in line and taught me about life and my mom made sure that i understood that i was loved the whole way through. i believe that children that are brought up by gay couples will be missing something. if you read the bible and analyze it in respect to the truths in life, then i think you will come to realize that there is a whole lot of truth in it, whether or not you are religious. be sure not to detract from the civil rights of his family for his decisions now.....     i've been a non-civilian in a combat zone and it paid a whole lot less than 50k. i'd go back for over 50k but you'd have to drag me away from my dropzone and my white-collar chemistry job. NBFT
