Try to keep the prizes as "real" items. Not the discounts, because sometimes people get discouraged to get 15% off something that they weren't going to buy anyway. Something hard, concrete and in the hand is more appealing to most. But I understand that with big item prizes... it's hard to come up with that amount in the budget for advertising/promoting. (but... I still like GoFast bestest!)

Sometimes I wonder that too, especially seeing what I see... but without getting bumped to SC, lets just say that it's not my decision on who is/isn't "stupid." Besides, I know many a very cool person that came from a challenging upbringing. And some total wastes of skin that came from a "perfect" family... so it's not all genetics. (but as far as that article.... umm... I'm curious as to why she started giving her child pot, but at least she waited until after the homework was done. Thus proving that she understood that it wouldn't be done otherwise.) Karen

Part of me definatley wants to agree... I have a low tolerance for those who abuse the one person in their life that they should be cherishing (and that goes for women abusing guys too) Especially since my sister was beat by her POS of an ex.... (that boy's just lucky... that's all I have to say about him) But then this poll was more about guys experience being hit by females. And if she strikes first... and means to cause harm... I'm conflicted. No he shouldn't kick her arse... but neither should she try to start something....

When taking classes for nursing... TAKE SOME OF THE PRE-REQ'S FOR MEDICAL SCHOOL! Typically try to get: - Biology or zoology with a lab-one year - Inorganic chemistry with lab-one year - Organic chemistry with lab-one year - Physics with lab-one year - English-one year college level English - Calculus-one year but they do vary from school to school Leave your options open. You need a BS to apply to med school, what your major is isn't as important as getting the pre-reqs. Then after working as a nurse, decide if you want to continue on your education. Being a nurse was great.... being a doctor is an amazing challenge.... but you will have the option then in the future to decide. Destiny. I used to believe in it until two years ago... then she dealt me a card that I hated.... so her and I aren't on good terms now. So fuck her and do what you want to do. You only have one go at this game... play hard. Karen

I wish I had something calming and comforting to tell you. I wish I could tell you that it will all be alright. I wish I could help you see a reason for pain and suffering..... Sometimes we don't know why horrible things happen... some people say "there's a greater plan that you just don't understand".... but seeing that plan is sometimes impossible. Just know that my thoughts are with you, your friend and his family. May the shock and loss be met with support from those dear to your heart. Karen

I think he is attactive... but "hot" or "gerogeous", I would have to withhold that judgment until I got to talk with him. Is he smart? Witty? Kind? Funny? or is he an ass that is constantly looking around to see who is looking at him. I hope it's the same for both guys and girls.... You can look at a picture and think of the fantasies.... but a truly "HOT" person is one that you would be impressed to be standing alongside for so many reason than just the eyecandy effect. I actually picked this topic to debate when I was in high school (yes, we know I was a geek and yes, it was a couple of years back). I had arguments for both sides prepared.... and truthfully, I could see both sides. But fundamentally, although I personally believe that I could fight a combat role and do the job that needed to be done, I agree with Nightengale that culturally, we are not ready for women to be openly on the "front lines" (where ever that might truly be). I have quite a few male friends and although I do consider myself a big girl and capable of taking care of myself, I know that if something started, that I wouldn't be standing solo. When you develop a bond between the sexes, men tend to be protective, which, in a combat situation, could prove to be a distraction. And it's not just about sex and sexual tension.... it's more about the perception that females need to be watched over. (I should go and dig out my forensics notes... ) Karen

I crashed my little 50 cc scooter once while wearing shorts and a tube top! BAD IDEA! I was 14. Tube tops were EVIL!!!!! They are supposed to protect and support....

Double skull fracture at 18 months (my first freefall experience... probably a 2-3 sec delay -one whole story) Left ulnar fracture at 8-9yrs (kickball... bad ass kickball) Right ulnar fracture and Skull fracture at 15yrs (after a bike accident ...
