  1. The "best fucktards".... Would be a backhanded compliment or a personal attack? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? And if it's the bad thing, why only allow them to stay at your house? Is it cuz you want the ability to abuse and torment in person?
  2. The biggest "discussion" that I tend to get in is that "happy" and "not unhappy" are NOT the same thing! I am happy (most of the time... excepting of course for stupid female issues....)
  3. Since you're going to be travelling around the US - here are some recommendations: California - got to Elsinore! Say hi to Mel! She is one of the most wonderfulest peoples you could ever meet!!! The tunnel at Perris is very nice and the staff are very helpful to skydivers (the florida wind tunnel more plays to the tourist and not skydivers) Devils Tower Spearfish Canyon - if you go around the time of August, plan it to coincide with the Sturgis rally (EXCELLENT for people watching!) New York City is fun to visit (driving there SUCKS!) Phili has a LOT to see and do (lots of historical stuff on the American Revolution). D.C. is a MUST (and CrossKeys is right near there too!) Florida has Cape Canaveral/NASA .... Disney.... and a gator or two (and LOTS of dropzones to choose from - Scott Miller's Canopy Instruction in Deland is excellent. Z-Hills is a blast!!) I haven't yet, but hope to see the Grand Canyon and the Sequoia National Park
  4. Tell him Happy Fathers day, and let him know how important he is!
  5. Nope ... not for another 4 days (Summer Solstice in on the 21st)
  6. Dont confuse an online comminuty with real world It's not?! I get confused sometimes (I mean.... theres beer and sammiches, and lots of medical questions.... seems like real world )
  7. I'm hoping that you made that post with a little sarcasm and a touch tongue in cheek. Your last post did get you hit pretty hard by some of the wannabe skygods and you would be justified to hit back. There is some callous destoying of the young that exists in any sport/job.... but there is also some truth to what was being said. If you and her really had LOVE... don't throw that away. But if it was love, than she shouldn't be so controlling. (IMO) Many do quit after a couple of years... move on to the next cool thing, have a child and want to spend the formative years raising those young souls, or just become more like some of those that were slamming you and just sit your ass infront of a computer to piss others off (or maybe all of the options). There is some truth to what was said.... but that doesn't mean it's true for you. Only you can decide what will happen in your future. Good Luck (oh, and you might want to un-poke the lions)
  8. Thought about Tikal and Guatemala?
  9. I was just cleaning out a room today and found some study guides on audio tape. Got me to thinking.... how many people still have the ability (and desire) to use "older" methods of entertainment? edit to add: I was gonna change it to allow multiple answers... but *sigh* just pick the best option.
  10. ps... I love your sig line!!
  11. Depending on the book - I've always had the best of luck at antique stores. Many of them have an AMAZING assortment of old and unique collections. I recently bought a book written by JH Kellogg MD (he ran the SDA Battle Creek Sanitarium... oh yeah...and he and his brother made breakfast cereals) in 1886 and lots of other old medical books (early editions) Online there are a few different search engines http://www.bookfinder.com/ http://used.addall.com/ http://www.biblio.com/ http://www.alibris.com/
  12. rhyming slang is so amusing
  13. If you and the lovely Ms. Squeak need a place to stay in Kansas City, just let me know!!

I'm just biased by my past. My dad smoked despite his diagnosis of lung cancer and the COPD that my mom developed (and she doesn't smoke)... his decision to smoke directly affected her health. She should have had a voice on that topic. Drugs can directly influence the other partner as well. Especially with the new laws in this "war on drugs." If you can lose your house, you should have a voice. Skydiving, Skiing, 4wheeling, even kickball.... all can be "dangerous" sports, but how many truly cause personal risk to the other partner. Does she have a right to be annoyed if he's gone all the time? Of course! But she shouldn't be able to forbid it.
  15. That looks WONDERFUL! (got extra room in your suitcase? I don't take up that much room)

Sorry... I get a little annoyed about partners that are so controlling and how it's tolerated. Seeing really nice guys being led around by totally bitchy and unrespectful females is just sad. (just like some guys complain that they can only get/keep the girl if they act like assholes.)

This noise about how many jump numbers and the generalizations and assumptions about him quitting within 1-3yrs is just a distraction from the real issue. She is trying to control his actions. As some have mentioned, she has a right to object to activities that would either endanger her or that she feels are unhealthy (drugs, smoking, ect)... but she doesn't have the right to forbid him to do anything. She has the choice to leave if he doesn't and if she feels that is what she needs to do, let her go and live her life. But she doesn't have the right to tell him that he has to give up an activitiy that he gets enjoyment from (even if it is just 3/month! ) Some argue: "that's just wives" - which is complete rubbish!
  18. Great job!! It's such a releif to have those results in hand!!
  19. Good luck! I hope it all goes well for you!
  20. DUDE!! you made me look at those books again.... *shudder* the kreb cycle! sphingolipidoses! It's good having the back ground understanding.... but how painful!
  21. I was taught not to openly believe either the backhanded or the front handed compliments. (and I loved Aesops Fables growing up... the stoy about the silver tongued fox and the silly lil crow.... no singing for me. Nope. )
  22. No formal review course. A friend and I made committed schedules to read and read and read. We were very strict to our study times. (even if we weren't strict on WHERE we studied. Sometimes I wanted to be outside or she wanted to be in Barnes and Snowball. But we had to be reading!) I primarily use the First Aid series. VERY HELPFUL!! Also studied Lippencots Biochem and Pharm and maybe the blueprints (but I think I used blueprints for step 2). I did well.
