Wow... if that isn't SC commmentary. Nope, National Healthcare isn't one of the founding rights. Our medical system isn't the best it could be. I'm sure you'll go and applaud at the end of "Sicko." I've gotten into an argument or two about how someone thought he should be able to go to a foreign country, do illegal substances, followed by high risk activities and still have the US peoples pay for his choices. But - just to catch you up to speed cuz it seems that several people here really don't know what they are talking about. TrophyHusbands wife is in the Air Force. The ER that he would possibly have gone to would have been within military medical system, which, as I remember, like it is "over there." Along with all the complaints of the system over there. Long wait times because of people being stupid and having no fear of repurcussions or cost. I saw people coming into the ER to be seen because they bumped their head with the camcorder, since they didn't have to pay for the visit, why should they care? If he wen't to a civilian ER, then TriCare (or "try to care") would have covered it. So basically: I've already paid most of his medical bills through my taxes. But since it's the fourth - you bring up a good point. But, instead of tagging it on TrophyHusbands thread about his finger, how about I start a new thread (knowing full well that it might get bumped to SC)

Warning: Serious Post Should he do any debreiding as well? With the injury as described, there shouldn't be a lot of dirt in it to debride, but if there was, that should have been step one. Daily debreiding? Doesn't look like a whole lot of tissue damage. I honestly thought about recommending silvadine at first... but then thought about the injury and didn't. He can... but it might be overkill.

I hate going in for personal reason as well... (Thanksgiving, I had a little scope bite that no one would sew up for me... so what if you could see a little bone... just a stitch or two would close it. Memorial Day, I rolled an atv on my ankle. Ended up just being a sprain, but took me over a week to get the xrays, ect) I've seen too many people come into the ER with silly shit and don't want to be one of them, so I kinda go to the other end of the spectrum... and so it seems, do you. That injury, keep an eye on. If it scabs over and starts healing well, you're clear. With ANY sign of infection (don't wait for the red lines going up the arm.... or the gangrene) go in. You might need IV abx. Don't do the H2O2. It actually does more cell damage than good. Just keep it clean.

Only been out one year, and I forgot about July 1st. (most dangerous day in the ER ) Congrats on making it though the intern year. (now, ya know... I get to say "back when I was an intern, we weren't spoiled with this 80h/wk limit restriction....")

I highly doubt that they would test it and just let you know: "cocaine 47.3% pure, cut with baking powder 25.2%, talc 10.5%, aspartame 7%, arsenic 5.4%, anthrax 2.1%, rat feces 1.5%, dried semen 1%." I think that they would just seize it and place it with the other siezed drugs. Maybe use it for training the dogs. I don't think that they would harass you. I know some that were K9 ccops... and really, they are not that evil. Best advice - flush it or turn it in. Especially since you've admitted to possession of an unknown substance on a public forum. Do not give it to anyone else. For your protection and for theirs.

self? dreams? whitesnake? (they also did a version of that title) -
I would be curious to know what the contract actually read. Other points are that 1. She probably provided said condom. She should be responsible for its failure. 2. He paid not only for the service, but for discretion and anonymity as well. If she became pregnant, it would be wrong to impose the responsibility of a child on him. Now... in case there was an STD transmission, for that she should know how to notify him.
