I usually jump with people who just got their A' license and want to learn how to sitlfy. I am not saying I am a coach or anything like it, but some people just want some good pointers on how to sitlfy faster and better. So I guess my question is, what is the best exit position in a 2-way or a 3-way for someone who is just learning how to sitfly? what position will get them out of the door stable and on to their sit faster? thank u ____________________________________ You know what's out there. TREE HUGER, that is the best nickname I've heard in years. That's wright man, you did save your ass and that's what counts in this sport. So congrats, and don't let this turn you down. On the contrary of all of you, I have had the pleasure of having my friend’s stick around for the ride. Out of four friend’s the person with the most jumps (our tutor) has been around for about 9 years, our oldest friend has been longer than our tutor but with only 100 jumps. This last one, started skydiving with round parachutes and since then he has logged 100 jumps, can you imagine that. My best friend and I started at the same time 2 years ago, unfortunately he had an accident on February but is about to come back after his injury. So you see, not everyone is a quitter. ____________________________________ You know what's out there. Take it, it's your's INMORTALITY!!!

I just found out that the way I pack is more a presicion packing than psycho packing. JEJEJE sorry. But thank you for giving me info in the urban legends of psycho packing. ____________________________________ You know what's out there. Take it, it's your's INMORTALITY!!!

Grafico is right, that is the best advice someone can give you. It is the best thing you can do at this time because you are still at a learning process and when you have around 150 jumps you are goina want to downsize. Buy a used complete system and save money for jumps. good luck ____________________________________ You know what's out there. Take it, it's your's INMORTALITY!!!

Even though I am relatively new to this sport my mentor taught me the old school way of packing, which is psycho packing. Many people look at me in strange ways when they see a twenty year-old packing the way the old-crew did it back in the 90’s. However, It was not until today when someone really caught my attention when he said “there is a reason why people do not psycho pack anymore”. He supported his statement by saying that psycho packing was only invented because no one really knew how to pack the square canopy’s at that time and that psycho packing gives you a 70% more chance of a having a malfunction than pro-packing does. I told him that psycho packing was they way I was taught and that until now it really worked for me. Finally, he ended the conversation by saying that this was because I use a bigger canopy and that with a high-performance canopy I would kill myself if I psycho pack. Is this true? Does anyone still psycho packs besides my friend and I? If I downsize do I have to learn how to pro pack?

When is the right time for buying a gear?
javip82 replied to jigneshsoni's topic in Safety and Training
Tigra is right. You should first buy the things that don't cost as much, this way you will progress and gain more knoweldge on what type of rig is good for you. I bought my rig like at 90 jumps, and I think it was the perfect time for me. All your attention should be on learning what is important about skydiving, not dying. ____________________________________ You know what's out there. Take it, it's your's INMORTALITY!!! -
I have a pair, and they were my first acquisition in the sport. I have made tracking, sitfly and headdown skydives with them, and I think they behave accordingly to each skydive. However, if you are planning to do more sitfly and headdown skydives I strongly recommend some regular skydiving pants. It is much harder to learn with tracking pants how to sitfly, or at least that is what I think. It is better to jump with the appropriate clothes for each particular jump so that you can do your best in each skydive. ____________________________________ You know what's out there. This is my first rig ever, and I think that I did a great job on choosing a Wings Container. I ordered it for a 150 main, but since I am kind of new in the sport I put a Hornet 170 on it and it fits beautifully. It is the most comfortable rig I have ever tried, and believe me when I say that when you are in student status you do try a lot of different rigs. I truly recommend this rig to any newbie on the sport because of its accessibility on price, and its easiness to fit canopies of bigger or smaller size. Wings containers are as good and probably better then any Javelin or Mirage container out there, but with a more reasonable price to its customers.

ok so now that I know what methods they use to wash the rig, what do you think would be much better for the rig. Wash it at home with some toothbrush and a lot of soap? or let them do the work? what will be better for the rig? ____________________________________ You know what's out there. Like the old days by hand, your typical washing machine, or sophisticated machinery that we do not know about? ____________________________________ You know what's out there.
