  1. Nope. I think you are right. Thats my relative newbie opinion! If its the danger factor that is missed, then theres still plenty of other activities out there that are more dangerous than skydiving. Maybe I'm a pussy, but I like to make my jumping as safe as I can. The safer the better __ My mighty steed
  2. What do you get as a replacement? __ My mighty steed
  3. Yep. It says he has a strong muscular back. Not much more than that though __ My mighty steed
  4. I would have said "OK let me get this straight. You want me to stay late after closing to help you fill out your order form, so that you can then go and actually purchase the merchandice somewhere else?" . __ My mighty steed
  5. I'd rather spend my whole life jumping my ass off, riding my Harley, playing my guitars, making love to my wife, hanging with my sons, see my grandchildren and great grandchildren come along, and when I'm old and gray, then die on the couch
  6. Don Kellner - Above the Poconos Skydivers, Hazleton PA over 35,000 jumps and still jumping today Guiness record holder. I dont think it works that way. I think your odds dont change or grow appreciably worse with each sucessive skydive. They stay more or less the same. First jump your odds are 1 in 83,333 chance of being killed and they are the same on jump number 100 Using your math, the guy with 833 jumps is pretty much certain to die soon __ My mighty steed
  7. I remember the times she wore her hair in pigtails. She always made me smile
  8. Seems to me that if you already have a fast car, then what you really need is a new Harley
  9. If THE REASON I jump was to attract women, I might care about this __ My mighty steed
  10. I did an absurd amount of illegal drugs. Pot, LSD, and booze mostly. Gave em all up 10 years ago including alcohol. I have no regrets that I did em, and no regrets that I gave em all up. __ My mighty steed
  11. I let it ring. I mean hey! They can wait 2 minutes for me to call them back right? __ My mighty steed
  12. Well in that case you would be silly to ignore an opportunity :-) Just pointing out that in a lot of cases, being happy with your job is worth a lot of money. If its the same kinda work with just as much job satisfaction, and the money is better, then by all means take that job
  13. If you truely love your job (as your subject line so vigorously proclaims), and you are earning a decent salary that allows to you pay the bills and support your extracirricular activities, then leaving would be silly. I know many folks that left a job they liked for another that paid better, and almost all of them ended up regretting it. __ My mighty steed
  14. Not really rock though... Haven't heard it...just what I've found so far.... You've heard it. Part of it is the main theme in The Exorcist (original) __ My mighty steed
  15. LSD= Bizarre kaleidescope-like color patterns floating around in front of the affected persons face Oh yeah, everything that moves in front of the dosed individual will leave trails in the air (as long as they saw it!) You can spot tripping people a mile away because of all that crazy shit flying around in the air near them
  16. Isnt someone going to explain "reverse cowgirl anal"??? Inquiring minds want to know. . __ My mighty steed
  17. I'm a heavy guy (250 out the door) and have a fast fall rate. I fly rather flat because a hard arch has me falling way too fast to do RW with anyone. I also have a jumpsuit that helps me a lot by being loose fitting and a poly/cotton front to create as much drag as possible. You need the opposite jumpsuit. If you cant arch because of your back, a snug jumpsuit made from nylon teffeta can help increase your fallrate. __ My mighty steed

  19. Sounds to me like you definitely need to find a new dropzone, dude

Cause that wasn't my goal. Never really had a true goal in how much weight I could lift, I just enjoyed lifting heavy. Other things in my life got in the way of lifting weights. So what I'm doing to solve that is getting rid of my gym membership, then spending a bit for a couple of benches and a lot of plates for my house. Then I can workout when I want, and I'll get to pick the music. I like to have a goal. Its not a mark that I HAVE to hit, but it helps me to have something to focus my efforts on. As far as my direction, I'm going the exact opposite or you

Nope. If you can hit 315 for 8 that puts your "theoretical" one rep max at around 390 lbs.. I only want to do it if I can make mincemeat out of you! I'm not interested in a fair contest How bout this...give me another 6 months to get that additional 20 lbs I need, and you dont lift at all during that time. Then we can do it!
  22. Hey JayCam! Congrats on walking away from a potentially deadly situation! Would it be possible for you to try to describe in more detail how your arm was trapped in the risers? I'm trying to visualize it in order to imagine how I might cope with a similar problem, but never haveing been in that situation, and never having seen someone else in it, I'm having a tough time picturing it. Thanks! Chris __ My mighty steed
