Who is going to the Perris Memorial Day Boogie?

Doh! Well, it's Friday, and it's been a long day. Don't expect TOO much from me now ... like reading closely. -

I'll be there! Maybe even with a little more alchohol consumption restraint than last weekend! -
Well said by everyone so far. The only thing I have to add is *timing*. If point is leaving early, the formation will spin, or if tail is a little late the formation will be dragged into a spin. Everyone should be in sync. Maybe that's obvious, but I thought I'd point it out anyway. Good luck! S

Oh, man, I'm still recovering today! What a fun night. Oh, yeah, hey Gia, thanks for the nice teeth marks on my chest.

Have you taken him to the vet for an opinion? My cat's, when they got to that point, were on the verge of getting much worse and rather than letting them suffer needlessly, I felt it better to euthanize. Regardless, it is a tough decision. Good luck! S

I'll buy the second.

Reference? I think you're wrong on this one. It's only the "emergency" parachute that is required to be packed by a rigger within the previous 120 days. Edit (I am wrong, learn something new every day) So, disregard my asking for a reference. ('cause I found the correct info) (/edit) ------------------------------------- § 105.43 Use of single-harness, dual-parachute systems. top No person may conduct a parachute operation using a single-harness, dual-parachute system, and no pilot in command of an aircraft may allow any person to conduct a parachute operation from that aircraft using a single-harness, dual-parachute system, unless that system has at least one main parachute, one approved reserve parachute, and one approved single person harness and container that are packed as follows: (a) The main parachute must have been packed within 120 days before the date of its use of a certificated parachute rigger, the person making the next jump with that parachute, or a non-certificated person under the direct supervision of a certification parachute rigger. (b) The reserve parachute must have been packed by a certificated parachute rigger— (1) Within 120 days before the date of its use, if its canopy, shroud, and harness are composed exclusively of nylon, rayon, or similar synthetic fiber or material that is substantially resistant to damage from mold, mildew, and other fungi, and other rotting agents propagated in a moist environment; or (2) Within 60 days before the date of its use, if it is composed of any amount of silk, pongee, or other natural fiber, or material not specified in paragraph (b)(1) of this section. (c) If installed, the automatic activation device must be maintained in accordance with manufacturer instructions for that automatic activation device.

Have you been engaged or married before and aren't now??

Agreed! -
In IE is the ActiveX Shockwave controller enabled? (Tools / Options / Programs / Manage Add-ons) If it is, I have no idea. All the other settings you've already tried should let it work. (Not sure if that setting is available in other browsers.) Stumper, fer sure!

Married twice, divorced twice. I learned to pick better friends ... ones that won't start affairs with my wife(s) Still single at this point. I also learned that no matter how bad it seems when you're going through the wringer, it gets better. And I'm a lot more knowledgeable about what I want in a relationship. -
Yeah, I guess I should have worded that better. What I meant to say to John, was to have the people with the AOL email accounts that he is emailing to, to set up an account through Yahoo or Hotmail or something. That way he doesn't have to email to the AOL accounts. Any clearer?
-
Hi John, In my experience, AOL is the problem and changing your ISP won't help much (unless you switch to AOL, which I REALLY don't recommend). The reverse DNS entries look OK, so that shouldn't be the problem. Tell the people you're emailing to set up a yahoo email account or something, that should bypass AOHell altogether. Blue Skies, Steve

Well, I had four cats, all indoor. Never de-clawed any of them. Takes away their defenses, even if they'd never use them. Forcing a cat to go through this surgery just for convenience (in my opinion) is just mean.

More info: http://www.uspa.org/safety/safety_day.htm Hope this helps. Steve

OK! What do ya want? I'm sure I have something I can bribe you with ... and I'm sure bribes will be necessary after I seem to kinda remember some flashing of cameras going on around me at various times. What fun! Sucked to have my head congested, though. I'm really not happy I didn't get to jump with everyone this weekend.

Congratulations!!!

Well, add me to the list. I just registered on the website. Wingsuit, as well. (Good to meet you this past weekend at Perris, JP!) A good time will be had by all!

How are you stowing the slider during the pack job? I've found that by taking care to quarter it evenly, with *slightly* more towards the nose give me consistently nice openings. Blue Skies, Steve

Not all of them ... I just got JMP2LIV, Hence the new username!

Me, me, me!!! I'll be there for the boogie. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it Friday, unless you're having the FJC later in the evening. Are you running the course on Saturday, too? Is there a rental fee for the suits? I'm planning on having another friend come with me for the FJC, so there'll be two of us that want to become addicted to wingsuit flying.

Hi Val, You might want to look at a book called "How to Think Ahead in Chess". I can't remember the author, but it's an old(er) book. It's an excellent book on strategy and thinking behind the game. Good luck, it can be very frustrating. Also, check out GNUChess to run on your desktop. Not an online game, and a very tough chess engine, but you can load games and watch the game play out, or play against the computer. Good luck! Steve

See, now that's the way you're supposed to look when we're doing 4-way! See ya this weekend. Maybe we'll get full altitude. Steve
