Peripheral vision is not high on the list of priorities when doing solo's from a cessna from 4000 with round Mil Surp gear. There was no function. Cool was all we had. t It's the year of the Pig.

    Being a CI, in a relationship with someone many years younger than me (who was never one of my students), and a father of 2 daughters, I would hope they could find a relationship as good as the one I'm in right now. I've waited a lifetime for something this good. My life rocks more than yours... t It's the year of the Pig.

    "all girls are "falling" for this" Well if you've found a trick that works on everyone... well done. Women are individuals. They can make their own choices. While there are ethics involved with him being the CI, his job is CI, and as lond as he's doing that - there is little you can do about it. Get some of your own and stop worrying about what (or who) somebody else is doing, or become CI. Note. I'm a CI. I don't date my students. t It's the year of the Pig.

    When I was 30, I figured... I'll be too old at 40. Now I'm 41, thinking - I was too dumb at 30.. But there are those around me upsizing canopies - and I'm going smaller... so I wonder - is it me? Or is it them... t It's the year of the Pig.

    Physicals are required for Tandem instruction. If your AFF I is dual rated - they may be getting that physical anyway - but I agree. The outcome of others may rest on your performance. t It's the year of the Pig.

    "To think that a jumper with less jump numbers has nothing valid to say to you is extremely cocky" When someone with less dives than me gives me advise, and they have 500, 1000, 2000 or 3000 dives, I may listen, but not act. When someone with 100 dives gives me a tip for a better swoop - I tell him to fu*k off. t It's the year of the Pig.

    Procedure here if the Student pulls the cutaway is close to what you describe happening on the video. 1 Student pulls cutaway 2 Mainside fires main and splits. (and RSL gets the reserve) 3 Reserve side hangs on during deployment /ensures reserve pull in event of RSL failure. t It's the year of the Pig.

    After AggieDave's poll on older drivers - I wonder how people feel about older AFF instructors as their reflexes, eyesight and motor skills deteriorate with age. In Formula 1, 30 - 35 is considered prime. Most sports you're history at 30. Airforce pilots are retired from active duty at 40. Where does AFF instruction end? t It's the year of the Pig.

    "murder followed by mass graves" Tommy Franks should be tried for this. 6000 civilians died in an unprovoked attack on another country. If he says "I was following orders" then they can do the same thing to him as they did to the people who said that at Nuremberg. 6000 civilians died. That's a war crime. t It's the year of the Pig.
