  1. I have an Oxygn A3 and am very pleased with it. I have done somewhere around 150 jumps with it, and have had no problems. I do about 50%/50% freefly and RW, and have not had any problems with the visor flipping up. I am always careful to flip my visor down completely, using my fingers across the entire top edge of the visor to apply even pressure. I always check the top and bottom edge with my fingers to be sure it is sealed. I originally went with the flip-up version because fogging goggles on jump run drove me crazy. Now I don't flip my visor down till the door comes open or even later if I'm in the back of the otter. On very rare occasion the conditions are such that my visor fogs under canopy... its nice to be able to flip it up and out of the way. The visor does not flip completely out of the way, but I have not found it to be a detriment to safe canopy flight. With the visor in place I have excellent visibility, and can see all of my handles easily. Only the RSL release is somewhat hard to see, but under canopy it is easily seen due to riser tension lifting it slightly. When demo'ing various helmets, I found that the A3 gave me the best sound transmission from my Protrack... That was certainly a factor as well. I have jumped it with the visor removed with googles as well, that works fine. The visor is easily removed, but not 'instantly.' One last note: to clean the visor, run plain water over both surfaces. While you're not supposed to touch the visor surface, I find it helpful to gently rub stubborn dirt off with a fingertip, but only while the surface is wet. Let it air dry, and you are good to go. If I can give any other info, let me know... Cheers... Dave

Lisa, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! AIR! Too cool, I know its been _way_ too long... You going to jump this weekend (6/23-24)? I'll be out there, it'd be great to do a jump with ya! Cheers... Dave
  3. Good luck all! The US CRW team and the Gelardis braved a mini-hurricane to get some training jumps in this weekend... winds were a bit on the wild side when I got there on Sunday. They're looking great, I hope they kick ass in Spain. Cheers... Dave p.s. Great meeting you guys this weekend... I'm looking forward to jumping more at Xkeys soon.
  4. CONGRATS! It couldn't happen to a nicer bytch! Cheers... Dave
  5. WOOHOO! Now I can read smartass comments from people whose names I know, rather than dumbass comments from people whose names I don't... :):) Cheers... Dave
  6. I'll be at Perris on Saturday as well... I look forward to meeting you guys! Cheers... Dave
  7. So... who jumps in Southern California? I jump at Perris... anybody make it out there? How about Elsinore? I've been wondering what its like over there. Others? Well, blue weekend skies to all! Cheer... Dave p.s. Don't forget, Mother's Day is Sunday... last year on Mother's Day I did my fourth AFF jump (on video) and chopped a line-over for my first (beer) reserve ride... that video made for some interesting Mother's Day dinner conversation!
  8. Follow the link and vote, guys... it only takes a sec! Cheers... Dave
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome, folks... Chuck: I'll look for you at the Para Performance Pro Cup. That should be a very good event... there's quite a number of hot canopy pilots around these days! So, anyone else make it out to Perris (or jump there regularly, for that matter)? The only other dropzone I've jumped at is Skydive Skyranch in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It's a nice little Cessna DZ, and they bring a Caravan in quite regularly during the season. I don't suppose any of you have been there? Since business trips drag me all over the place, hopefully this season (since I finally have my own gear) I'll visit a few others DZ's. Well, if any of you are out at Perris, look for a black/white/red infinity and a red w/ black ribs safire and you'll find me attached or nearby... :) Cheers... Dave
  10. Well, after reading news and forums on dropzone.com since last summer, and using gear reviews to help w/ my recent purchases, I've decided to emerge from the shadows and participate... there goes the neighborhood! I split my jumps (152 so far) about half & half between RW and freefly. I jump at Perris Valley in CA most every weekend and the occasional weekday. Well, I'll type at everyone again later... Cheers... Dave p.s. Thanks to Sangiro for a great site.
