  1. When I went for my Tandem and my TM got me set in the harness he showed me the 4 attachment points and told me that it would be my job in the plane to make sure that I am hooked up to all 4 as he tends to forget... My groundinstructor used a variation of that one. He said "Shortly before exiting, the tandem master is going to ask you if you are ready to skydive." He then continued "We don't really care what your answer is going to be. At 13.500 ft. with the door open and the wind blasting pretty much anything that you say will sound like 'Let's go!' to us."
  2. I remember seeing her at the Dropzone afterwards and the glow on her face. Even my wife (who doesn't jump) commented on how excited she looked. I told her that I have yet to see a Tandemstudent come back from a jump without that grin ! Didn't someone say that the next thing she wants to try out is Base jumping and she has already inquired about the nearest Antenna? Congratulations to you both ! Looks like she had one hell of a time ! It must have been exciting for you to fly next to someone that you love...... Christian P.S. The pictures of her looking into Joey's eyes are hillarious ! But he is a great guy. He took me up for my very first Tandem too. He made it not only exciting as hell but also fun. Of course it is all his fault that I HAVE to go through AFF now......
  3. Nah.... You're good! You made it up with that really nice shot of me in Freefall ! I just expected the Video and the picture was a VERY welcome bonus.
  4. Thank you. I will mark this one down as a learning experience and I look forward to Level 2. Hopefully the weather will be nice this weekend! As for Argon's suggestion about the golf courses. I'll keep that one in mind. That is a good one!
  5. Hi ! I did a Tandem jump last year and I of course got immediately hooked. I decided to take it a level further and start my AFF course this season. I have been rained out the last 3 weekends but yesterday I was finally able to go (my wife said that she was thankful for the change in weather as she was getting ready to kill me ) What a rush !!! AFF is a trillion times better than being a Tandem passenger but also more stressfull. The whole time in freefall I more or less felt like I was watching myself. I knew exactly what I had to do and when I was supposed to do it but for some reason I had a very hard time with the altimeter. I mean, I could read it clearly and see the numbers but my brain must have been left in the plane because I was unable to translate those numbers to altitude. So I got the finger (love that expression) when we reached pull altitude... Oh well.... The canopy ride was really fun. I like that part almost as much as I like freefall. The landing was ok, slid in on my butt but it was not a hard landing at all. Unfortunately my video guy was not able to film the landing as he had a SEVERE linetwist and by the time he had it untangled he was landing off the dropzone (in the Video I can actually hear him cursing at the canopy ). I can not wait to get up again and this time actually concentrate more on the altimeter. Thank you for letting me ramble here as everybody in my family and all of my friends run away from me as soon as I mention skydive. Ha ha ha ! Blue skies, Christian
