Nice try Gordo!
-
2nd camp just finished, I leant loads and we all had a great time. Thanks to all the very professional and friendly tunnel and DZ staff at Perris who made it so much fun :) A slot has just come free for October (12 - 15). Please send me a PM if you fancy joining us on the next one. (December still has a couple of free slots too). Thanks, Emma

Congratulations guys, I would love to see Round 1 for Sounds Grrr8 and Round 4 for Tequila. Nice to see such a close meet. Awesome job everyone, looks like your training paid off. Kick ass in seniors next year!

The thread's title no doubt set the tone before the comment that offended so many people.

Thanks for the advice guys, Dave I have jumped with you at Eloy actually! See you at Nationals then I hope :) Maybe I can track down a cameraman too, that seems to be a good selling point for floating skydivers! Emma ps During training my UK team competed in the FSL AAA class (only once), does that have any bearing on which class I could do in a Nationals scratch team?
-
Imagine if it was like that in skydiving?
-
Cool thanks ladies, not quite sure where I'm staying yet, will come along and say hi, we'll be in the tunnel. How's the team Andi? Are you jumping with Christie or is she just a tunnel bunny now? I hear she kicks arse!
-
Anyone from this forum going to be at Perris next week, 10 - 15? Am making a wee trip there for the first time. (Does that mean I have to buy beer? )
-
Any major events at UK dzs this week requiring a qualified massage therapist to ease the aches of tired skydivers? No 'happy endings' though, sorry guys.
-
What is the deal with doing a scratch team at Nationals if you turn up without one? Here in the Uk a lot of people seem to do that, but I'm not sure how it works in the US. Anyone know?
-
October is full but I can still squeeze on a couple more for December (just before the Eloy Xmas boogie), drop me a PM if you are interested :)
-
Nah but you can work out some fairly effective ways of stopping your mega-swoop before you take anyone out. Flying your body is flying your body, and the tunnel definitely helps with that.
-
Nice website Chris, see you guys at Hib and congrats on a great season so far :)
-
Thanks Vicki - anyone know / remember the draw yet?
-
Been training, will be at Hib for the Nats and a couple of small shandies
-
Nice one Colin, keep it up for the Nationals! Alcohol and competitive skydiving? I can't believe it!
-
Did anyone get the draws and scores? 6 round meet and some nice skydiving, so I hear....

A slot has come free on the August camp, 10th - 13th (with Gary Beyer and Mark Kirkby from Airspeed). Please PM me if you want some info on it :) Thanks Emma Original thread here

A really good exit will help a lot. Not just with relation to everyone flying on the same air (ie the formation not cutting in), but also that everyone is in the right quadrant straight out the door. Otherwise you have problems with people slipping down the hill (on their own!), round the corner etc.. Eye contact on the hill will help with this but the first step is getting everyone out, presented correctly and in the right place. As has already been said, there is no substitute for getting a good 4way coach/ jumper to look at some videos of your exits. I expect that different formation exits will present different problems for you as well. If you're going to Hib for the Nationals this year, there'll be loads of people who can help you out there, for a beer or two. Or buy one of the Airspeed 4way videos/ DVDs and watch the exits repeatedly. :) Emma

Since I've been asked to clarify, these camps are at Skydive Perris, California.

Perris FS tunnel camps, Oct and Dec
UKFSChick replied to UKFSChick's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Due to popular demand I've got another 2 FS tunnel sessions lined up at Perris, Oct 12 - 15 and Dec 21 - 24. Send me a PM for further info, it's with Gary Beyer and Mark Kirkby from Airspeed, I'm sure I don't need to sing their praises on here. Thanks, Emma VT1977's comments here
