That's how I do it, except I keep the line running between my index and middle finger. What altitude do you do so? That's how i usually hold the toggles after i get my slider collapsed, etc... It's pretty much impossible to drop it that way, and I won't get my hands stuck either. So I assume you do so pretty high. How about if you have to chop your main? I read an article in a magazine, written by an experienced jumper who, prior to starting his manoeuvre (around 1000ft AGL for him), brings his toggles around his wrists, with the brake line running through his palm (between his thumb and index finger). I agree. So very true. I wouldn't know, but maybe... Good point. The 'shelter's strength is also its weakness. Because there are so many "regulars", it may seem hard at times for visiting skydivers to blend in. I'll make sure you enjoy your "post jumping" experience more next time you are around. But overall, you are asking questions which I have been pondering for the past 12 months or so (non-skydiving related). Not quite sure what the answers are, but am about to act up on what I think/feel the (my) remedy is.
