  1. hey there, congrats... now we want to hear all that stuff. number 2 is an awesome title... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  2. All depends on who is signing your paperwork for the license. Your jumps on a pro-track are not signed, so technically they are not valid toward a license. I do know that RWS does not accept pro-track evidence for proof of tandem jumps for their examiner course...I gotta whole lotta loggin to do now... Hope this helps... but you can get everything on your computer, print a list and get them signed, can't you ?? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  3. and isn't the Pink Skyvan based in Slovakia too ??? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  4. read a post about a new velocity which stayed very long in the POD, and if I remember well, they test jumped it... the canopy remained as a block till the jumper pulled on the risers to get it separated... apparently happens when the ZP fabric is quite new due to the "stuff" making it ZP... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  5. we already know that... I'll be there PA2THEMD (aka Rolo) thanks for the message... see ya soon... saturday mornin.... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  6. welcome to the forums and congrats for your 1st. as already said, it's normal... but... I videoed 1st timers on tandem, and the sensory overload was soooo intense that they didn't even remember I was just in front of them... and asked me how I did the video scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  7. -my 1st sunset in Empuriabrava... -my Porter landing under me in Vulliens (Switz) -a canopy a few feet below me (guess I have to get some CReW jumps...) and the face of my friend when I was flying so close... - in Grenchen (Switz again), just after pulling when hitting the cloud... Canopy fully inflated at the base of the clouds, and seeing other people getting through the fluffy mass with canopies opening... like if it was raining men (like in the song) scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

    The BASE Zone

I voted to keep it. It's not under any Skydive Discipline group. It's in it's own category : related sports us "whuffos" or curious can get information about a very interesting and fascinating topic. and we aleady lost the talk back scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  10. any of the above, but NAKED scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  11. I propack, did it on many gear. never packed a tandem or a CReW rig, nore a reserve packed for other people too it is a basic knowledge. Like filling the tank of your car. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  12. 5$ is not a bad price... but I think it would be to the packers to ask for more. on my 400 jumps, got about 20-25 packjobs done by others... of which 15 were on a rented gear in Empuriabrava (packing included and mandatory) other because I didn't have time between jumps to pack, debrief and brief jumps... Not knowing how to pack is like not knowing how to put fuel in your car ! scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  13. Matter Clothing and Flyyourbody are not great friend as I have read on french forums I believe there are 3 places where you can order : Babylon, Gap, La Réunion... otherwise their internet site ! when you take the measures, don't forget to leave 2-3 cm slack scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  16. ask a rigger or people at BM, but maybe it's better to put this silicone riggers use on cutaway cables rather than oil... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  17. just a question, on Birdman suits the handles are quite low and you have to pull them like in front/up... Is there a possibility that if you pull the handle less in front and more upwards, the cable would have a very important bend and maybe cause that kind of problem ??? before going jumping 1st time with my Sfly, I was "taught " a method to catch the handle with one hand and pull it sideways... tried it, only the left wing opened... due to the bend, the right one did not... hopefully I was on my sofa to try it... after that did the course with BABYLON and was instructed to catch it with 2 thumbs and push the arms forward, they then cut directly... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  18. nice one. enjoy every second..hmmmm.. minutes of it scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  19. i'd do anything.. except sell my gear already doing some video... not enough experience to AFF or tandem yet... but as soon as I can... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  20. and not everybody is ready to jump with lines as small as the ones the use on paragliders... the smallest lines I saw were the one used by an italian guy on his Paradelta BullBall which were steel lines 0.03mm, approx 30kg resistance each... you could hear him from far away... and as soon as there was a sunshine on the lines... WAW what a visual effect with the reflection. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  21. Idon't think there is a great use for talkback... it was nice, but needed more discipline... many subjects came back (always the same...) and loads of postwhoring... certainly entertaining, but not always very instructive. one more awesome website : www.freeflywiggaz.com scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  22. some more info about the boogie : $$$ price for jumps ? boogie registration ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
