Hey Marios my friend, I think Casale Monferrato is the closest. They are very friendly, hotels nearby, good food, and I think they are operating a Porter for the moment scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

I can't believe it took 34 posts to have someone advising you to get a Mac. Sorry I can't help more than that. Hope your problems will get solved and you can finish the work you were doing on your computer. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Oh no.... Sad news. Wayne the incredible sewing machine teacher. Lots of thoughts for your family and your extended family which would include almost any riglet who went through USAPR. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Agreed. One might be a fluke, but three on the same drop??? I bet the ground crews were running for cover.....because helmets have their limits. At least they should be wearing army boots:-) scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

unless the manufacturer says otherwise (for example National wrote a maximum in their manual, so did Parachutes de France) http://nationalparachute.com/NPII%20Owners%20Manual%20Dec%202009%20-%20New%20Address-TaperPack%20Discontinued.pdf scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

OK, so it seems you got lots of advice, from people with "some decent background", both civilian and military, jumping and non jumping. Unfortunately the advice you were given do not go in the way you would like. So here it comes : It is a great idea. These boots are the best protection you will ever get, plus they will help you tracking feet first and for sitflying. Get a pair or 2 and go jumping. Please come back with your feedback. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

this is not what you want for "regular" civilian jumping. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

it depends what you are talking about. From my experience (which can be challenged) Main canopies are, in the civilian market, mainly squareish. Reserve canopies are, in the civilian "sports" market mainly square. Reserve canopies in PEP's/Rescue Equipment are mainly round. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

final regulations will be either sorted by country/federation or locally at the dropzone. MY recommendation is to become first a decent jumper prior to adding new gear which can put you in a difficult position. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -

never had a reserve fail, but mains yes... In particular a Crossfire2 that had a blown up center cell. The fabric is completely cooked, wouldn't pass any kind of test. Weaker than wet toilet paper. But only on the center cell. The other cells are good. I suspect sun exposure + sweat. My suspicion comes from the color of the fabric, which is kind of "desert white" scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
