over here, you can easily land below intended landing altitude. The only way to avoid Vigil fire in that case is to have it turned off. In the case of driving it lower to landing altitude... IIRC It's written in the Vigil manual that you shoudl turn it off when you put it in a vehicle (to avoid fires in case of door slam etc.. Fair enough... Now, we had the case of several Vigils, in the same vehicle, who was driving down a hill, and only 1 of them fired. the balance seems wrong to you... depends what you are looking for... He is looking for speed and glide, and apparently got really good first results. The measures were done with FAI certified instruments. I can't say more because I don't know more. The pilot is certainly not the best, but not the worse either. On the french BASE forum, some people posted that any "superior-average"pilot could then reach 5:1 glide with that suit Leave them a chance... It's a fucking fast suit..
