I knew that.. and it always has been a BIG MONEY affair.... never was about sailing for/by sailors, but sailing for/by millionaires, and now billionaires.... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

the choice apparently, as I understand, belongs to the challenger. The America Class boats as they were in the 2-3 last editions were beautiful yachts... Now the mega-multihulls that they came with for this edition are plain incredible. I'd love to see the BOR90 close. Was lucky to see Alinghi V very close, and WAWAWEEWAAAH that thing is sexy. Bigger monohulls might be the future

I'm not too sure, but maybe that the NYC Court is depositary of the Deed of Gift or something. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Next monday, we should be able to witness the fastest regatta ever between 2 of the incrediblest wind-propelled boats ever. My preference would be that Alinghi wins on the water, and that the NY Court doesn't invalidate the result of the race. The 2 boats have never been directly compared, anything can happen. Best wishes to both sailing teams, keep it exciting, don't break anything. Who do you think will win, and how ? P.S. it might be the 1st sailing regatta where the prestart could be : Gentlemen, Start your engines

AAD question + how long does a repack and AAD install take?
piisfish replied to almeister112's topic in Gear and Rigging
1- Completely with you on this one. Inspecting gear and packing reserves is underpaid. 2-Switch on and forget. Just don't forget to turn it off when leaving the DZ scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -

for me iPad is ok, a pad is not necessarily related to feminine intimate hygiene. Plus the name is close to iPod. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -

IIRC there has been a fatality in Paris, France. Broken neck in the tunnel, flyer deceased later in hospital. That was a couple of years ago. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Hi Andre, Sorry too, I certainly have overreacted to what seemed to me a Cypres bashing. What I understand now is that you were doing a comparison between "top mounted" and "bottom mounted" cutters. If this is the case it would have been better (in my opinion) to create a new thread. Bonne journée
