Closest DZ's are around 1hour drive from Paris, most certainly due to flight restrictions (with stoopid skyjumpers inside) around/close to a big city with loads of heavy traffic. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

banned from competition... which IMHO is utter BS.. It's like if the had banned carved skis from competition a couple years ago... now anyways they came with an alternate solution, which is apparently more "air solid" and less "structure solid", and it seemes more performant... the glider could still be packet in a soft bag etc.. and the carbon rods were no more rigid than mylar eor other inserts that you can find on actual canopies. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

I wonder if a frame could be built, using stong light weight poles, that could hold the canopy open and up above your head so you don't need the wind at launch.... The throw it up in the air technique needs a bunch of wind. Ozone's BBHPP (Baby High Performance Paraglider) has light carbon rods inside, and the increase in performance is so astounding that the other paraglider manufacturers wants to ban that canopy "because it's not a paraglider anymore" scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

I have no clue how fast they can move them, but for sure both big beauties can fly a hull (or 2 for the BOR) and both sailing teams do know how to adjust them. Even if they are both still very experimental. cool thanks for setting that one straight. I had never seen the boat sailed with a jib + the rigid wing. Only the wing by itself. DOGzilla looks beautiful. The black is impressive The white is sexy Soooo excited I'll have to find a way to check videos at the office for monday

never seen a jib rigged with the rigid wing (which is not a sail, but a wing) however I do wish that the regattas will be great. My preference would go to Alinghi, but if the BOR wins on the water, that will be great too. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

which is not a sail anymore.. it's a wing.. and the yacht is no longer sloop rigged , as it should be according to its own documentation . But the wing is TOTAL BADASS for sure. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
