Basic Air Concept - Fraudsters or genuine mistake?
piisfish replied to rjfrt's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
shoot a PM to BKR here, he is the owner, he is legit and a good person. He also has a good history of solving problems. I didn't go through all your post, but I bet he will get you a satisfactory answer. -

or maybe (I didn't see the possibility above) to attach the slider to the canopy for some additional slider control on opening. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

it was all for now.. Decided to open that packjob and redo it... And decided to do a pull test. The pull force to start moving the reserve pin was 32lbs. Didn't open it. Will be checking tomorrow with another rigger, much more experienced than I am. As I am a junior senior rigger, I will enjoy having help on that one.... And will be glad if the explanation is that my technique for the pull test was incorrect. Otherwise I guess I will ask the rigging loft who did that a full refund. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Question more specifically for European riggers, where do you order your supplies from ? Tape & webbing ? Thread ? Fabric ? (Cordura, ZP etc...) Hardware ? Plastics and foams ? Do you order from the US or do you have better/cheaper possibilities in Europe ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

not very big, very handy for pulling on loops etc scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
-
whatever use you can find... "my" rigger uses it to out tension on loops, to pull stuff through holes and grommets etc. !! must NOT be used as a temp pin !! as it is pretty short and you couldn't really FLAG it, it could be easily forgotten. another advantage if you are really cheap, you can always steal it from your granny's knitting kit scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

how twitchy ? what gear, and what is the condition of your PC ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

if the canopy is already half deployed in your container, it might cause bizarre openings indeed scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

crossfire is a great canopy, but a "bad school" in case you want to change, as anything you do would give you a good opening (except removing the slider maybe) scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
