  1. Sure. We call them "Load 1" Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  2. Why would Canada and Mexico want to have a shared currency with the US? Due to the size of the US Economy compared to the Canadian and Mexican economies, the US would dictate the monetary policy for all three nations. Pass. Major Dad CSPA D-579
  3. My primary rig has an AAD and my backup rig does not. I have always beaten the AAD and would not hesitate to jump without one. Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  4. Hard to believe a year has passed since Chris was killed in Afganistan. He is very much remembered by his friends and his name comes up quite often at the Dropzone. We'll raise our glasses in his memory tonight by the Bonfire. Eternal Blue Ones Chris Miss you like crazy! Major Dad CSPA D-579

  6. Tamdems being grounded is a real good clue it is time stay in the plane and to grab some lunch when on the ground Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  7. History has determined who is a terrorist by: 1. Who won 2. Who wrote the history Menachem Begin and Nelson Mandela come to mind. Their foes considered them terrorists in their early careers. Both are remembered by the West as Statesmen. Major Dad CSPA D-579
  8. We are running about 18 hours of daylight this time of year at this northern latitude. Wouldn't want to cook a canopy for a week but knock yourself out. Blue ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  9. A number of national teams will be using the PD Storm in September's World CF Competition. So far the reviews are positive with respect to CF Performance compared to the Triathlons. (Better flare, better response, etc). Should be some good write-ups over the next couple of months as they test the edge of the envelope. Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  10. We used one for a season as a backup plane a dozen years ago before getting rid of it (and don't miss it at all) No problems taking a three way out of it but for a demo with a pilot who hasn't dropped jumpers out of it I would just go single file out (KISS). The crowd doesnt care what type of exit you do. Major Dad CSPA D-579
  11. Never make it worth your wife's troubles to knock you off skydiving The way my policy's were set up was she got $500K if I died in a car accident but only $100K if I went in skydiving. Still ticking..... Blue ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  12. You definately held your own Sarah and it was great jumping with you at the BWC. Enjoyed the camp greatly and it kick started the 2008 season for me in a styling way. Catch you in the sky somewhere, sometime Blue Ones, Major Dad CSPA D-579
  13. The Caravan has arrived at Eden North (Edmonton, Alberta) for the 2008 Season. The weather looks great for the weekend and we will be flying all day Friday as well. Saturday (17 May) will be the 6 Way FS Speed Competition. Sunday (18 May) will be the Free Fly Scrambles. Check out the Dropzone.com Calender or the Eden North Website www.edennorth.com for other events planned for the season. Blue Skies, Major Dad CSPA D-579
  14. Classic Accuracy (and Style) was king when the only lift was Cessnas. Skydiving is a social sport/hobby that caters to the people who like doing "Stuff" with other people. Turbine Aircraft and better training has helped facilitate the larger stuff in all disciplines. Ten years ago, RW was supposed to be on the downturn and being replaced by Freefly. Ten years later the tent is still big enough for everyone. Even the Wingsuit Flyers are doing larger and larger flock dives and it wont be long before the freeflyers get their first 100 way. Bet you any money that 20 years from now, I'll still be doing RW with lots of friends! Blue Ones, Major Dad CSPA D-579
  15. Outstanding Camera Flyer (i.e. you can always see her out standing in the field, head and shoulders above everyone else) Blue Ones, Major Dad CSPA D-579
  16. Good Luck 'Chelle! Blue Ones, Major Dad CSPA D-579
  17. Amy said her sister didn't quite know how to take your appropriate response Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  18. Wolf in Lebanon about 14 years ago. It was "tangy" but not bad at all. Major Dad CSPA D-579
  19. I kind of like my liver where it is!. However, other than a few individuals for their own reasons, there isnt any burning desire for Canadians to want to join the US of A. Economic Cooperation sure (and even that is touchy at times) but any political party who tried to win any seats on that platform would be winless at the polls. We are neighbors with the US and many Canadians have many friends in the US (especially the skydiving community). However the "I am Canadian" sentiment is very strong with the majority of Canadians and I, for one, will always be a "Canadian". This normally becomes appartent during US Election Years when some Canadian Institutions and things we take for granted are attacked by the various American Politions as herasy and "Socialist". (I laugh cause I am conservitive in my politics). While it may be electioneering politics, I never want to see the Canadian Systems being dismantled as they would enivitably under a political North American Union. Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  20. Very Sweet. Congrats to the people on the camp and those who pitched in to make the 100 ways build. Well done to the organizers. Blue ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  21. If it is near the dropzone I would do a normal jump (get out all the time dispatching students at 3500) If it is far from the dropzone, deployment altitude would depend on the congestion on the ground. Heavily treed - higher. Open Country - lower (around 3 grand or so to ensure an opportunity to pick a spot for landing). Junior jumpers should default to higher openings to allow for the adrenaline rush to pass and pick their landing area and their path to it. Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  22. Good luck 'Chelle. It's amazing how much like Herc that Bug looks. I can just see the picture now - Herc on your Dad's Lap and Bug on yours. And your cat thouroughly unimpressed with the entire matter.... Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  23. The Canadian CF Team "The Plaid Jackets" moved to Triathlons years ago and only use Lightnings for jumps such as the 100 CF Way. They find the performance and landings far better than the Lightnings (although they landed the Lightning better than anyone else I've seen) Blue Ones Major Dad CSPA D-579
  24. I'll vouch for that. I was one of Allison's Tracking Teammates at one point. My thought on breakoff was "Damn! That girl has a flat track!" If I only had a drouge..... Blue Ones, Major Dad CSPA D-579
