OK so i know i am stupid newbie and you old guys get alot of these type post so.... i know..... anyways, i am seeing alot of these contaners floating around on the used side of gear. I was wondering what you guys have experienced with these containers. I have found one with only a 124 jumps on it cause the guy who owned had to stop jumping for some reason. So it looks to be in good shape but i dont really aheva clue about the quality of the product since i am basically clueless.... so... help... please.... -------------------------------------------------- Fear is not a confession of weakness, it is an oportunity for courage.

Yeah another post from a person not even clsoe to being a TM, but anyways i think it goes to show the point. I made my first jump a tandem at Gold Coast in mississippi, and i actualy had 2 instructors, some fresk thing happened and i got passed from one TM to another TM. In the long run i am glad it happened. Both instructed me on proper flying position, saftey things, and procedure in the door, but the guy i jumped with gave me some further instruction explaining the equipment, and what exactly he would do in the case of an emergency. So when we jumped and we got in the air i was totaly and completly comfortable, i felt safe with him.... i sound like a cheasy 16 year old teenage girl talking about her football player of a boyfriend.... but i truly felt safe with him. I knew he knew what he as doing and that he could take care of what every would happen. So after our jump he debriefed me, explained wo me exacly what we did and all that kind of stuff. so in return i could not wait to get back in the air, i am currently doing AFF at gold coast and i love it, and i was hooked after that jump. anyways there is my 2 cents -------------------------------------------------- Fear is not a confession of weakness, it is an oportunity for courage.

lol my first landing was so hard... i rolled for like 15 feet and it hurt very very bad...... second was not much better more like 10 feet of rolling.... but after that it has been great. I had a video done so i could figure out what i was doing wrong.... i didnt flare hardly at all, so now, i flare!! it helps.... obviously, and all my landings since have been really good. -------------------------------------------------- Fear is not a confession of weakness, it is an oportunity for courage.

Thats why i shut up and listen to them..... and then i talk to my instructors to see if they are right. -------------------------------------------------- Fear is not a confession of weakness, it is an oportunity for courage.

on my first aff jump at 5500 i waved off and went to pull, however when i went for the throw out, i missed the hackey, so in return my instructor pulled for me.... i was pissed, no pissed. i oculd not believe that i did not do it myself, but that did make me comfortable with the fact that i knoew they were there for me. But no i do not trust them to pull for me. THats my job, and now a level 5 i should be able to pull for myself no matter what. -------------------------------------------------- Fear is not a confession of weakness, it is an oportunity for courage.
