  1. Your killing me!!! ***Winners never quit and quitters never win. Those who never win and never quit are idiots.
  2. My first rig was a P.D. F-111 and a Talon container. The chute was new and the container had 100 jumps on it, but built for someone slightly smaller than me. The combination of hard openings and poor padding on the leg straps made for an uncomfortable weekend. 4 jumps was about the limit in a day. I saved hard for a new Wings and Saber 2. Couldn't have made a better investment!!! No more groin bruises.
  3. Great thing about living in south Florida...if its too cold this weekend (less than 65), next weekend will probably be great.
  4. Your Killin me, thats hilarious!!!
  5. Blahr, what audible are you using and where is it mounted? With the 2 volume settings on my inside the helmet (open face Hawkeye) mount Pro-track, I have not heard the lower volume setting alarm at terminal.
  6. Base698, laughed out loud at that one, I had a sandal launch a solo from 3k once, thought it gone for good till some one starts asking "who left their sandal in the pea gravel?". Would have been cheaper to replace though than an alti. I sympathize with you... as I had my helmet and ditter knocked off me once when some one flew a hard mid warp on me. Tracked off and flipped over immediantly, but never saw it...
  7. Holy Chihuahua, sum you guys mucho loco! Emergency situations, yes, but just because of low cloud base???? I'm the first in when it comes to a double diamond run or a really hairy mountain bike run..., but if it ain't on fire or going in, I'll sit tight at less than 2.5k(Saber 2's do like to snivel a while)
  8. Sky diving attitudes..mostly a lot of cool, decent people, friendly and willing to offer some great info and jump with.... and then there are those prolific few who can't help themselves...sucks to have attitude!
  9. Kind of curious why Air Adventures has the Sky Van? They typically don't have the volume of jumpers to warrant. Nothing but Love to Air Adventures and it's staff, I did my AFF there. When it was time to progress in the sport, I went where the number of experienced jumpers and the variety of people to jump with were greater. Basically, they don't create the environment for experienced jumpers. Only went back for their annual "Boogie Over the Everglades", but they ceased that fun (granted it's a ton of work and not a money maker). I look forward to the day Air Adventures brings the boogie back and to see who is still around that DZ.
