Best ever, thats a easy one for me because it wasn't very long ago. Spent a full week skiing/snowboarding with 8 of my best friends at a ski in/ski out townhouse in breckenridge colorado. It was my first ski trip and I lucked out because we did it right, the place we stayed was amazing and so were the resorts we skiied. Even our day off we went horse back riding which was another first for me and I imagine the scenery we enjoyed is some of the best in the world. I've never seen skies that blue in my previous 25 years. On top of everything else my buddy flipped our 4x4 suburban on its side into a snow bank and not 1 injury was sustained by any of us. Very very lucky and even the vehicle came away unscathed. What a badass trip, can't wait for next year when we do Big sky. "Don't Mess Around With the Guy in Shades- Oh No!!! "

To be honest I'm not a huge fan of tatoos mainly because most are cheesey or plain, but I think this one actually kicks ass. Very nice just my .02 "Don't Mess Around With the Guy in Shades- Oh No!!! "

0-2-0 , was too windy to jump saturday. Had the best day of my fledgling skydiving career today. Finally relaxed during freefall and really "felt it" I don't think I smiled that much in all my previous jumps combined. What a great feeling to finally nail the arch and really feel comfortable up there, was the best skydive of my life and not even getting my first hard opening dampened my good vibes. Today, was a good day. P.S. The sunset at skydive sobe is everything I've heard it to be. "Don't Mess Around With the Guy in Shades- Oh No!!! "

I played hookie from work friday and shot up to Skyventure for a 10 min coach session. For the first 7 minutes I looked like a dying guppie in a fish bowl but Omar really got me lined out. When I watched my video I don't see how I ever made it through AFF 1-4. For any AFF students that are having any issues I definetly recommend making a trip to a wind tunnel it helped me immensley and I was soooooo much more comfortable when I did AFF 5 the following day. It will also kick your ass I'm still sore in my arms and shoulders , can't wait to go back. "Don't Mess Around With the Guy in Shades- Oh No!!! "

I'm not totally sure , I get to try them for the first time tomorrow if the weathers nice. But I think the emphasis is more on having the student become unstable and regain stability than doing the actual backloop. And from what I understand most instructors dont really care if you perfect backloops they just want to make sure you can regain stability before moving on to the next level of AFF. Well at least your not some new AFF type person just trying to get through the AFF program so you can start to enjoy your jumps. I'm only a 5 jump chump but I have noticed one thing about dropzones that I dislike and that is all of the politics involved. It blows my mind that a group of people spend all day jumping out of airplanes only to get so involved with DZ politics as soon as they hit the ground. Seems like all that energy could be put into something more benficial to everyone but as usual thats much easier said than done. "Don't Mess Around With the Guy in Shades- Oh No!!! "

I've decided to bring my thread back from the dead in honor of the best day I can remeber in along time if not ever. Welp after trying for 4-5 weeks and spending every free minute at the DZ today was the day. Played hookie from work for 1/2 a day today and finished AFF 1 and 2 !!!!! All I can say is Holy S@it , I thought my tandem had me hooked, but now I truly know how insane this ride going to be. I'm still buzzing from my 2 jumps and its been over 2 hours since my second jump. A big thanks to everyone at Skydive SoBe especially my jumpmasters and friends who got me out there!!!!! woot woot!!!
