Yeah, it's true - You usually have money - or time - but seldom both. Some bank on the fact that they will one day, if they are very prudent with investments and spending, have both - But then, you have to throw in the third element - health - I'm always amazed at how many people put all the their hopes in retirement and then end up either dying or in some way not healthy enough - certainly for this sport. There are some exceptions - but brother - it's a real gamble as even folks that have taken care of themselves get cancer and die young - I've known some of them - Being off sucks for sure - but make the time count, You won't always have it - Make the time count, amen brother I'm all about that....now i just need to find a job so I can stabalize ....G'night bro "Don't Mess Around With the Guy in Shades- Oh No!!! I totally agree, as gay as it sounds ....skydiving has taught me to love life every day ...i still get down sometimes especially with the unemployment thing but no matter what I appreciate every day and every person in my life a whole lot more than I did a year ago. I'd say start doing alot of 2 way's working on your fall rate. When I first started jumping with my buddy 150 lbs to my 175 lbs we had a real hard time staying together. After practing fall rate on aprox 8 jumps we can now stay together very easily. Its just a matter of learning to fly flatter and " bigger" . A baggier/double layered suit will slow you down but you need to be able to control your speed with body position to fly with other people. Something that helped me was not looking up at the person I was jumping with. When you look up it tends to put you in a deeper arch with speeds you up even more. Its better to position yourself perpendicular and look sideways up at the person, well thats what worked for me anyhow.

I actually got the chance to sell some christmas trees the other day, I was just doing it more or less just to do it. I must say you got one hell of a deal especially with the first offer ...depending on the type of tree i'd normally come down anywhere between 5-20 dollars. There was a russain woman in 1978 (guiness book of world records 2003) that fell from 35k feet after the plane she was one (commercial flight) broke up in mid air and survived to make a 100% recovery and is still alive today. no parachute.. -jsut thought I would let ya know:) Actually she rode a piece of the wreckage down , i.e. wasn't in freefall.
