Hmmm, I do have a vision that in 10 years we will do canopy relative work with wingsuit Flyers. Something like a 3D jump but with minimum 15 canopies and 15 WS. That will be a new standard in parachutejumping and freefalling. If it sounds like fun than it will be only possible thw to the canopypilots from today. Sounds stupid? 10 years ago with the first swoop competition it was the same. A FreeFly Gypsy

Did you see it already boy's and girls? at this moment 60% below 250 jumps. I was always thinking that it would stay in between 250 and 500. A FreeFly Gypsy -

With "lucky" I mean lucky to survive. Thx for the votes, A FreeFly Gypsy -
Skydive Tortuga, a real skydivers enclave in Arezzo named after an island where pirates can be pirates. I never felt so welcome before for the first time that I was at a dropzone. The club is trying to create a place where tandem jumps are not the primary thing to do. It is all about a good time. Jump altitude is 4500m (sometimes even up to 4800m) Load organizing is done by great people like Stephania, Olav and Marco (also rw coach) The food in the cantine is greaaaaat. (I'm fan for the Italian food and coffee). Bunkhouse is good, new containers with airco. Each room has 4 beds with sheets and a table with chairs. Showers are all new. New hangar is under construction. Due to the bad weather we did visit the nearby cities. Culture and skydivers often do not go together but when you like old Italian cities with buildings from the Roman time you have to look Cortona, Gubio and Arezzo itself.

After reading the statistics in "Landing/hook turn fatalities " I was wondering or you guys have been lucky once. I was once when I had about 800 jumps and start flying a X-Braced canopy. I did make a crash landing which I normally had to break my neck. Can you remember how many jumps you had when you were lucky once? A FreeFly Gypsy -

You can go smaller if you want to? But than you have to eat salade and drink water, Never drink beer, do not smoke any forbitten things, do not drink soda's. After a few months you can fly smaller or do we not want to do all that. All fun things are: elegal, not ok with the law or you get fat from it. A FreeFly Gypsy

Hard pull with B. Germain's pilote chute packing on an Icon
Bartje replied to Malta_Dog's topic in Safety and Training
Malta Dog, give it a few jumps to let it strech a little bit, work on the way you pack the pilot like B. Germain's methode and you will see that it will work out fine. B. Germain's pilot chute pack method is not that much bigger then other methodes. A FreeFly Gypsy -

Fear and Lothing in canopy selection
Bartje replied to davelepka's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
That did work for me as well. Just one thing more, 700 jumps in RW or FF can do result in a good freefall dude, 700 in canopy is not always enough to gain skills to swoop. A FreeFly Gypsy -
I did see Scarry Perry's suit at the bird -man affice. One wing was blow out. I do not know how it happen but the fabric had the look like it really was exploded. Perhaps Perrry himself can tell more. A FreeFly Gypsy
