I think all instructors should be tested. when a certain person that was employed by a DZ near me at the time went in and it was all over the new's that he was high at the time. it affected me...not only that I knew him well, but that I was harrased at work for jumping at such a place where this was allowed..... When I lived in Sanford, FL...i got it on the 24th or 25th of the preceding month...when I lived in Naperville, IL I got it on the 27th or 28th... here in St.Louis...it's any time they feel like getting it here it seems....mail around here isn't the worlds greatest.... My SO happens to be none other than the lovely FallinWoman. she is grounded due to illness...BUT...she's still a skydiver. we like to do more than be "just" skydivers though. we enjoy other things and that helps life so much for us. today we have the 5$ challenge scheduled....should be fun. Yes reguired by the FAR's.... Most skydiving planes will not have seats...but all of them have to have belt's...at least in the US. some planes will have side benches, stradle benches, or the floor to sit on...there all comfortable to a point. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

Depends on what you want out of your canopy. do you want or need 9 cell glide? or do you need super soft openings that the spectre will give you? need more info before advice can be given from the people around here? what are you flying now? how many jumps? etc... I've Zorb'd when I lived in NZ...did it right out side of Rotorua. great fun...until you step out of the Zorb. and then I commenced to puking for the next 10 to 15 minutes...SOOOOO not fun!!! but all in all I'd recomend it...if ya dont mind the puking!!!!

Sinno did my level 5 with me....that is still to this day one of the best skydives of my life. it is where everything prior just clicked......and I really started to enjoy my skydiving. he is a great guy. have him tell you about skydiving into Sydney for the olympics...that is an awesome story!!! Nope, mine is the split version....they had free tye dye for up to half a rig at the time...so i took em up on it. they all thought it was gonna look nuts. till it was done that is.....

exactly what I was thinking....you can do much more damage to a person if they havn't actualy gone into vfib/pulseless vtach... you needed to treat him for shock...as they were not profusing well...but never EVER start compresions on someone who does not need it. now peds is a different ball of wax all together I also take concern with the comment "call a cop, call an ambulance, call a pizza delivery guy and see who show's up first." one thing people have to be aware of is what type of EMS/Fire/EMS/Police protection they have. there are dropzones where you might not even get an ambulance due them not being in a protection area. there are also others with full time union firefighter/paramedics...some with only EMT-Basics to come to your aid. when you are at the dropzone dont assume that it will be like your at home...that the paramedics will be there in 5 minutes. also dont assume that you will have Advanced life support also. those guys could have been doing CPR and a basic unit could have showed up without even an AED or further advanced cardiac life support.... just food for thought that even if you call an ambulance there is no guarantee it will be there. also ask around your DZ to see what kind of coverage you have. at the two DZ's nearest me....one has a hospital based EMS system that has two ambulances that cover the whole county....if there busy...your hosed... the other has full time firefighter/paramedics that are within 10 minutes away.... be safe, marc

They still allow radios, computers, and other electronic devices on board...that both you and I know can still be rigged as a bomb...I have been a Hazmat technician for over 7 years now, worked with ATF on numerous occasions...and know that the measures we have in the airports to this point really only keep the morons from blowing us up...if someone wants to do what they want to do, it will happen given the present security. a rig with a cypres is no more dangerous looking than a laptop, minidisc player, portable DVD player.....
