if we can find the truthfull root (where it all started), surely we can progress from there - If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it

Hi Guys ..very interesting replies up to here - nobody should try and convince anyone like this , the most important thing would be to ask Yourself. what you should believe if you wanna believe in something is truth right ? and then you need to seek it till you find it .... questions i ask today would be why is there anything instead of nothing ...and who put all the rules in place that govern nature , and why was Darwin's theory only cooked up 140 years ago when there was no electron microscope to proof the crap and lies they're still teaching the kids at school and why is there no fossils that show the proof of gradual evolution - science of today is now so advanced that the have proved darwin false - abiogenisis is impossible - do yourself a favour and type darwin's theory (theory in crisis)or creation vs evolution .... simplify - because if you think about it - it's one vs the other there's no in between ... Religion and a personal relationship with the living God is universes apart .. If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it

Jeb Corliss Gets Set For World Record Landing Attempt
skysaintj replied to JeepDiver's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Hi I jump at the same dz where Jules over the past few weekends flew his Sugar Glider next to Rob Kruger under canopy - Rob was flying wingloads between 2.8 and 3.1 on a Xaos 27 - 78sqft using some extra weights - footage from Rob's view doesn't look right haha ...pretty awesome stuff So knowing Jules for quite a while he has jumped everything from BMclassics to S3 , luigsuit , vampire and Sugarglider and general feedback is that he prefers the SG - i guess it's personal pref... Hi Guys... I'm quite new in the sport and really dig the fact that we can all share tips and advice and stuff ..it realy makes one improve soo much faster.THANX ! One thing i wanna know is what exercises or tips/training i can do ? because i started flying on my head and used to have lazy legs...if've kanda sorted that out but i tend to fly on my back when things go a bit wrong...i've seen the footage and it seems that because my shoulders are to open and thus my arms are straight and are also flying more behind me and then i drive to much forward and tend to speedup a bit to...where should you have your shoulders and arms speaking in a neutral kinda position where you can work from(dock etc..) If it's something else that might cause this pls let me know what i should look for or concentrate on.. All the best If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it

A 3 way almost bounced at Pretorie Skydiving Club (South Africa) a few years ago...nobody had an alti but everybody thought someone had one. Nobody had a cypress or audible and 2 jumpers saw the ground at about 700 ft pulled and was open under canopy at about 300ft the last guy Robert V Staden pulled his main out of reflex probably at about 300ft...ther canopy opened quite quick and as it inflated he hit the ground. If there was a littlest of sniffel that was it. He didnt brake anything but was as white as snow. Stopped skydiving a little while after that. I've waited for the jumpmaster to give the wave of on a CAT3 attempt that went a bit low and was open under canopy ay 1300 ft and that was very very scary...always dump on 3000 ft...one day i might need it. i know a guy that always pulled under a 1000ft every weekend ...packed his main like a reserve every time though.(Gary Epdon) I jump with two audibles and an alti..and have no intension to pull lower than 3000 ft. All the best and happy landings. If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it

Hi Christie... I just want to say...you GO girl ! Most people will stop skydiving if they have such a close call while still new (1-year) in the sport. I was listening to Tuks FM (Pretoria's Student and young peoples radio staion) and they guy in the studio this morning - Tim on Tuks already believed that you would stop...So on that subject..we know that we'll still see you at the Margate boogies Yeah !! Take it nice and easy to make sure you recover completely "Experience is not what happens to you, but it is what you do with what happens to you" All the best and see you soon ! Toggle Turns & Front Risers
skysaintj replied to StearmanR985's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
....just to give some personal advice on when you need to let go of your front risers adding that you do 180 degree turns and bigger and jump wingloadings of 1.4 and up a good guideline is to let go and let 3 seconds pass before you level out this gives the canopy chance to level out by itself and no toggle digging and broken bones.... Toggle Turns & Front Risers
skysaintj replied to StearmanR985's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Hi i have obviously ran accross this discussion being part of another discussion about positive and negative recovery arc...and just feel that certain canopies are made for swooping and if you are a swoop addict you need to do your homework and see whats outhere...personal experience has shown me that cross braced canopies seems to be the better option example the velocity has a longer pendilum and because of this you can start your frontriser turn higher which i feel is already a safer option the canopy depending on size generates alot of speed because of the time that it is given to do so and the cross braced design is a much harder wing which makes recovery if needed easier ...toggle turns are just stupid , to much of a commitment etc...front riser turns are better because of the fact that you can let go of the riser halfway through the turn if you are to low and even if you end up going downwind you will walk away which means you can have another go at it.... Positive recovery arc vs. negative recovery arc

I have jumped square, eliptical and cross braced canopies and found that hurricane is the best all rounder for experienced skydivers who does not like to walk far because of a bad spot but still does not want to jump a bus to get back !! Hurricane landings are very fast if you know how !! what really makes it great is that even though its an elitical the front riser turns will be started higher than normal eliptical canopies, long and fast!!The higher turns is the same characteristics that good cross braced canopies has.Landings on a 105 hurricane was clocked at 70 mph by a radar gun..and ive seen alot faster.Taking all this into consideration the pricetag will scare you cause its so cheap being manufactured in South Africa just a few dollars counts for alot of rand(S.A-currency)No gamble here just good value !!
