  1. Is there any official freefall time table for Skyflyer.3 jumps to put in the logbook, when not jumping with audible altimeter the computer the freefall time? Leo Holanda
  2. This time I visited this forum is the first time I see the name "Sugar Glider", and I never heard about it. Where can I read more about it? I look for some info at flybirdman.com but nothing about it. Kevin, are you writing something to put there? This is the first time I want to read something about and I don`t find in flybirdman.com. long flights for everybody!
  3. Okay. You try this first. Then, you tell me how was it.
  4. Also, this is the place in the earth where I live: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?location=MTCNjMoDkp4dRqEzVWq6GdY6YFBT7rYyTC4b4maA4xOHh1mpo%2bIna1PulUy5rilnHbAb%2fVf2s0neu7gP0FMa1Q%3d%3d Here are some pictures. http://www.ecobrazil.com/trbne01.asp Leo Holanda
  5. I live in Ceará, a state in the northeast of Brazil. In my dropzone there is only me and another guy that flies ws. I have one S3 and an old C1. Leo Holanda
  6. I mean, It would be a plus to have grips in case of concrete criteria for archiving world records. For example, if the formation is no contact it would be a little subject to the judge interpretation of distances from each one in the formation. If there are grips, there is no doubt because it`s absolute. Leo Holanda
  7. Hi B.J. Do you think it's possible to be done with docking (i.e. like a RW formation)? Maybe if there was something to hold at each one foot... This way, WS formations could be recorded as WordRecords under the same conditions as RW, that is, do the proposed diamond, and stay in grips for 3 seconds. The biggest problem I see is for those flying skyflyers because their hands are already busy... Well, at least, it was possible in a line 4way, as done in the Herc Boogie 2003 (see attached picture, sorry for the copyrights, it's just for technical discussion). What about trying a 4way diamond first (piece of cake for you experienced), then try the delta 6way, then try the diamond 9way, then the delta 10way, then the diamond 16 way, and so on... Leo Holanda
  8. I forgot to mention in my first message, that all the time I was talking about doing the whole formation as a whole. I think it's possible, but as soon as I have no practice on formation flying, I have no real idea. If my idea is to be put in practice in the future I WISH I COULD BE THERE... he he he...
  9. A beginner question and imagination...
  10. Here is the back. The picture is a little dark. But you can see... Why did you became curious about the back? Was is yours? I bought it as an used one. Leo Holanda
  11. Well, it is just amazing! In the beginning of this year, I have about 250 jumps and I got my first ws, an used classic I. I made about 20 jumps with it. Last month I got my new S3 directly from birdman. I expected that its performance would be twice of the C1 performance, but... IT WAS LIKE 10 TIMES BETTER! It's incredible! I do not have words to describe it! With C1, I didn't feel like flying, but like making a faster track jump. With S3, I really feel flying and look like I'm flying, that is, the floor takes almost the eternity to come close to me! He he... I feel like someone is holding me and lifting me to the sky! Again, thanks to everybody that gave me some advises here. Leo Holanda
  12. Does anyone knows the minimum vertical speed that timeout works? In my 4th wing jump my timeout didn't beep at the preset altitude. But I never did t again. But yesterday (my 13th wing jump) I found the position! Yes! I felt it! A really fast horizontal speed! And the timeout kept silent! I hope I can repeat it in the next jump. Btw, what is the most appropriate device to measure lowest vertical speed, jump time etc? Leo Holanda
  13. This weekend I made my first ws jump. Thanks to everybody for the hits & tips. In fact I made 8 jumps: 4 on saturday and 4 on sunday. The exit was very nice! The navigation in the first and second jumps I could'nt go straight ahead I was making a smooth S path. But in the third one I did it! In the 5th one, my timeout didn't make the beep sound. Is it caused by the low vertical speed? Thanks!
  14. Hello people! Last month I ordered an used classic at birdman. Finally it arrived here in Brazil. Yesterday, when I got back home from work, it was there, over my bed! I'll use it for the first time this weekend! I'm very happy for it. And a little nervous. I expected for this moment for several months! Thanks for everybody for all advises since choosing the model through jump hints and tips. Blue skies! Abraços! Leo Holanda Leo Holanda
  15. I noticed that classic I have been discontinued. Why? What are the main differences from each other? I'm having a chance to buy an used Classic I for an excellent price. Is that waste of money? Should I make a little more effort and pay much more on a classic II or the differences are not so big? Note: I have never flyed any winged-suit. There are no other wing-suit flyers in my dropzone.
  16. Thank you again for your advice. Two week ago I was in São Paulo in a dropzone of Macos Pettena, the Birdman, the most experienced Birdman flyer in Brazil. He was giving me one-on-one training, but it was not possible to me to jump because of a weather hold. This situation really induced me to think about buying my own, so I can use in my home dropzone. But, since I have no more than 250 jumps, I'd better get a classic one. Blue skies and long flights! Leo Holanda.
  17. I was thinking about renting a classic for some jumps to get some wing suit experience and then buy an used Skyflyer that is for sale because it is cheap and fits me well. But I started to collect some information and my conclusion is that I have to wait more. The problem is that I'm gonna be the first birdman jumper in my area, there is no other jumper. So, I'm looking for some experienced ones by the net who can exchange some knowledge. The nearest experienced birdman jumper lives in São Paulo which about 3000km far from here... So, I will have patience and look for an used classic that fits my sizes and thats it. When I feel comfortable and secure I will think about looking for a GTi.
  18. Thank you, Your advises were pretty valuable. I have never fly any winged suit. I'm going to buy a classic at first and thats it. When I feel comfortable and secure I will think about looking for a GTi. I posted my first question because I saw a cheap used Skyflyer that the sizes fits me. Blue skies. Leo Holanda
  19. Taken from birdman website: "Like its predecessor, the Skyflyer, the Skyflyer.3 (or S3) is a wingsuit meant for experienced wingsuit flyers." So, how many classic jumps are needed before trying a Skyflyer? 5, 30, 100, 300? What about the others (S3 and GTi)?
