  1. Maybe it would help if you stopped conflating two different things? As you well know, having dual citizenship and not being in America are entirely unrelated. Intentionally obfuscating in response to a direct question isn’t usually the best way to make your point any clearer.
  2. I’m not as charitable as Lippy so I’d say that’s quite apt.
  3. I’m quite happy talking about him in this one, when it highlights your outrageous and unjustifiable double standards. There is no evidence that Joe Biden engaged in corrupt dealings with his son. If you want to talk about real corruption and nepotism in the White House, you have to talk about Donald Trump.
  4. We don’t though, do we? No one has any evidence that Joe had anything to do with Hunter’s profiteering. On the other hand, Trump put Jared and Ivanka in the room where it happens. Heck, he put Jared in every room where everything happens and made it clear to the world that he was the second most important guy in the White House - and the result was Jared raking in billions in bribes. Billions, from foreign powers. But you’ll ignore that, because this thread has a different title.
  5. Buuuuuut he doesn’t though, does he? Whereas Trump did actively put his family members, who were running his businesses as well as their own, into high level, official government positions where they could leverage their connections and power with every foreign businessman they met.
  6. What on earth are you talking about? No one has ever denied that Hunter traded on his name to get cushy no show gigs. But that’s Hunter’s business, not Joe’s business. By contrast, Jared and Ivanka’s corruption and rampant profiteering from their government roles is entirely Donald’s business.
  7. That’s not a problem. Everyone is well aware of this. The bad mutations don’t matter in the long run, because the hideous mutants just die and their deformities are not preserved. The beneficial mutations (which do occur as you have just acknowledged) which give a creature a competitive advantage make it more likely to reach breeding age, more likely to win a mate and more likely to pass those mutations on. That’s why DNA as it is now hasn’t just randomly occurred, and why it’s simply an argument from ignorance to say evolution can’t be true because DNA couldn’t just randomly occur.
  8. You see what you’ve done there, don’t you?
  9. Sez who? Let me guess - someone running the numbers on how likely it is the current iteration would just pop up randomly on its own? Here’s a hint for you - natural selection isn’t random chance.
  10. Oh, ok - you just have no idea how evolution works. That’s cool.
  11. That’s crazy. I can kind of understand the ‘what have you done for me lately’ mindset, but going back to Trump and the other complicit Republicans is more like ‘what haven’t you stolen from me lately’! I also don’t get how bad the centre and left media is about generating outrage over real scandals when we keep seeing what the right can do with nothing but innuendo. Why isn’t Jared and Ivanka’s nepotism and corruption shouted about every day? Why isn’t the Supreme Court corruption scandal shouted about every day? Why aren’t the ongoing efforts of the GOP to give themselves a legal framework to actually overturn elections in the way that Trump attempted to shouted about every day? Its mind boggling.
  12. I just want to check that I’m understanding the full situation: the Supreme Court is responsible for writing its own ethics code? The Supreme Court is responsible for ensuring that it is following its own ethics code? The Supreme Court gets to decide if it is even legal for any other office to investigate whether any members of the Supreme Court have committed criminal ethical violations?
  13. What, his impression of that journalist with MS doesn’t count? You liberals are so uptight.
  14. Ok…. Comparing human DNA with listening for radio signals from alien civilisations…. What? Seriously, are you just pretending you know what those words mean?
  15. No, defunding the police isn't cancelling, that's very different. By the way, if you defund the IRS you'll have to defund everything else too. It's odd that conservatives are so in favour of defunding the military.
  16. So where did we end up here? Donald Trump is a creepy weirdo who has mused on multiple occasions in public and private about sleeping with his own daughter… but he didn’t actually say the word fuck. Well that was a great point worth making.
  17. It’s so cute when you pretend to know what words mean.
  18. He should grab them by his own pussy? Could work, I suppose he probably does think he owns it.
  19. Again, basically Fox News. It’s amazing how proud you are of not knowing who’s pulling your strings. (And ‘even Australia’? They’re a strongly right wing, very racist country, both to indigenous people and immigrants.)
  20. Sky News Australia is a sister channel to Fox News. How does it feel to be so easily led?
  21. I refer you back to the comment you’ve clearly forgotten you were trying to disagree with. Uh, you mean the context of a guy who’s still pissed at Joe Biden for marrying his ex making up a story about a first year Democrat Senator using (again) Richard Nixon’s IRS to prosecute him for tax fraud he does not deny committing? Thanks for proving my point.
  22. Yep, the Barbie production was so anti-man that Ryan Gosling is odds on to one-dimension himself all the way to an Oscar nomination - more so than Margot Robbie! Most women in the business would kill to be on the receiving end of that kind of sexism.
  23. “I considered Joe a friend. I’m not surprised he fell in love with Jill. Everyone who meets Jill falls in love with her immediately. It’s hard not to,” Stevenson said. Oh yeah, he really hates that bitch.
  24. Uh, you mean the context of a guy who’s still pissed at Joe Biden for marrying his ex making up a story about a first year Democrat Senator using (again) Richard Nixon’s IRS to prosecute him for tax fraud he does not deny committing? I don’t think you have really considered that context.
  25. Lol, OK. You agree that first term junior Senator Joe Biden directed Richard Nixon's IRS to charge his lover's ex with tax fraud? I mean, the guy doesn't appear to dispute that he owed the tax and it is the IRS's job to go after tax cheats - but the only logical explanation to you that a tax cheat was indicted on tax charges is that Richard Nixon's administration did a first term Democrat Senator a favour?
