Now you're conflating a third thing. Why do you think I give a rats ass about AGW if was merely an esoteric academic exercise. It is ALL about policy. Actually no, whether or not AGW is actually happening is not a question of policy, it's a question of reality. Your problem is that if there are three questions; 1) Is AGW happening? 2) What are the consequences 3) What policies should be enacted because of it/do I like those policies? You try and make the answer to questions 2 and particularly 3 affect the answer to question 1. It doesn't work like that. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

You're conflating two different issues. 1) Is AGW happening? 2) What are the consequences of AGW? If someone did provide an incorrect answer to Q2, it doesn't follow that the answer to Q1 must therefore be 'no'. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Brent... that's just dumb. If I leave my car outside with the windows up and electrics off the natural variability of temperatures inside could range from -10C to +50C. Yet when I get in the car in the morning and the temp is 5C, I turn the heater on and it quickly becomes 20C it is most definitely the heater which is making the temperature change, even though the end result is nowhere near the high temperature the car could reach on its own given the right conditions. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

The problem is, at this point it just doesn't matter. In six months everyone on the right and half the people in the centre will still remeber the accusation - and the perfectly reasonable, normal and valid explanation for her actions will be half remembered as a semantic excuse at best. You're saying that it is always the case that there are 180 opposed wind directions within a height span that a balloon can feasibly switch between at will in order to maintain a fixed position over the ground? Do you have a source or link to people that are operating balloons which can do this on any given flight? Who feels that $20k per jump is reasonable enough to create sustained demand for an ongoing business? How do they justify this feeling? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Can it? Under what conditions? How often do these conditions occur? And how many current, experienced skydivers would be willing to pay that much for one really high jump? Have you factored in the costs for rigs to fit the pressure suits? You said that people are willing to pay $4k for a tandem - you realise those tandem customers wont be able to do this, right?
