That's exactly it. He's not singling out christmas - at least not any of the christian aspects of it. If you feel he has been bashing your religion it is because you have chosen to identify with drunks, drug addicts and violent abusers. And also because you're projecting onto him the things you felt when you thought you were an atheist.
-
Until they changed. They made a decision to leave behind the racist southern democrats, and abandon the power that came from that voting block in favour of ethics and principles. Try and imagine the Rs doing that today. Nope, I can't either.
-
Which makes it so strange that you're so angry. And who, exactly, did he say he wanted to bash? Drunk drivers, perpetrators of domestic violence, and people who get their families into debt over Christmas. I'm genuinely curious - as a Christian which of those groups do you think embodies your values to the point where you feel like your religion is being attacked when they are attacked? And yet you have, in this thread, explicitly stated that you are projecting your feelings and motivations onto Nigel. I think I do remember correctly, tbh.
-
Oh get over it. Wake me up when court houses have 'Thou shalt be FABulous!' written on the walls and you might have a point. Until then, stop being such a snowflake.
-
So you're not the happy guy, you're still the guy who's whining.
-
Q is the conspiracy. An insane conspiracy. Being open minded to it is not a good sign. Then you are not open minded, because you clearly did not read or research it.
-
So again, you weren't just joking earlier, you've meant what you said all the way through this thread. So why lie about it? Look, it seems there's an obvious source for the disconnect - you think you were once an atheist, therefore you think you know how atheists feel about religion. But, IIRC, you described yourself as being an atheist because you were angry at god. That's not being an atheist, that's being a christian who's having a nervous breakdown. You need to stop ascribing whatever you were feeling then to anyone you are talking to now because it's just not relevant.

Pretty well. He's massively racist against muslims, so the fact that he supports Israeli Jewish charities is pretty consistent. Others like the Ellis award, Unicorn award and Lois Pope award have nothing to do with helping minorities, and the Freedom Foundation award maybe tangentially connected to it. But you probably never bothered to even read the entries, let alone check into any of them, did you? You just saw the list and ran with it, because that's all it takes to convince right wing groupthinkers these days. Well, here's another one that actually addresses the subject. Try it on for size. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/jan/12/racism-and-donald-trump-a-common-thread-throughout-his-career-and-life

Do you consider being as offended and uptight as you are now 'fun'? Are you getting off on being outraged? That's kinda wierd, dude.
-
That was some convenient editing. You said you were giving back Nigel's medicine in a higher dose. If what you said shouldn't bother anyone, then how come Nigel's post got you so uptight in the first place? You've flat out stated that it's less offensive than yours. Nonsense. That's just the religious arrogance of thinking that belief is the only way to have a wider appreciation of the world.
-
Do you see the contradiction here? You're saying that Nigel is a passive aggressive nasty hater who is bashing your beliefs. You're saying that you're giving that back, and even more so.... but at the same time you're only poking fun? How can that be the case? If you're being intentionally worse than Nigel and yet it's still our fault we're offended by it, how are you so fucking sensitive to be offended by what Nigel said in the first place?
-
This could be directly addressed to a few people we have here.
-
Is that what you think you've achieved? Have you got some kind of raging paranoia going on or what? So this is what you really think? This is you being serious? So, if you're completely secure in the truth of wht you are saying right now, why did you have to lie earlier in the thread by saying you were only joking? People don't tend to be that embarrassed by their own posts unless they know they've gone way overboard.
-
It's so predctable that you go fully on the attack when you've got nothing else to prop up your argument. Don't you realise how transparent it is? If it's this cut and dried, where's your evidence? How much did Clinton profit while in office? What back room deals did he make? It should be trivially easy for you to support your argument if it's as obvious as you say it is, and not some fringe right wing conspiracy theory you've been suckered into.
-
I don't think you'd have any problem with Nigel if you just stopped being such a snowflake. He's been polite, reasonable and nice in this thread and you, in response to some imagined slight, have been petulant, spiteful and personally insulting. A pretty terrible advert for the spirit of Christmas.
-
So why perpetuate it? You post about nothing so much as your desire to divide your nation. What does that mean?
-
So is this all still a joke? As humor goes it’s pretty obscure...
-
Put up something to deny. Show some evidence for Clinton’s net worth going up during his Presidency. Show some evidence of lucrative back room deals. Come on - at this point you’re making the jump from blind bias to being an Alex Jones style conspiracy theorist.
-
You haven't said anything funny. If this is a thread of jokes, they're bad jokes. By the way, I'm always amused by people who make outrageous posts that just so happen to support their own belief system and denigrate others', then go hey it was just a joke, why are you so mad? Here's an idea, if you want to prove how good your sense of humour is then make some jokes about how rubbish your materialistic nativity based Christmas is going to be. I'm sure we'll all be able to join in laughing about how badly you've let your family down.
-
Hillary was already in a position to make lots of money the same way Bill was. Her last autobiography deal was bigger than his. The presidency may have extended that earning power but she certainly didn't need it. She's already globally famous. This is another of those things you're going to need to use facts for. What back room dealing did the Clintons benefit from while in office? Bill Clinton's net worth went up by minus $10M+ dollars during the Presidency. He left the Whitehouse in massive debt from legal fees. I can't imagine you don't know that - I guess you're just doing your normal thing and blanking it out because it doesn't fit your anti-Democrat narrative.
-
Which means you've completely missed the point. It's sounds like you can't fathom the holiday season without a focus on materialism and excessive consumption. Is that really what Christmas means to you? Food and presents?
-
No he didn't. Unless you really place that much value on materialism. I bet you enjoy a bunch of the festivities that sprung from it though. And let's face it, if you're going to have a big party in the middle of winter (and a lot of people need cheering up in winter) you might as well have it on a day that actually signifies something.
-
You're saying Hillary went into Bill's presidency with the intention of making money from it years after he left office? That's pretty convoluted. And also so what? I didn't say proof, I asked for any reason or evidence. But it's hardly surprising you can't give any.
-
I would imagine the people who do that sort of thing are both atheists and religious. Given that we live on planet earth knowing exactly what time of year it is has always been quite important, actually. Odd that you would make fun of that while simultaneously getting bent out of shape that someone else's family isn't celebrating the exact day that was chosen to represent the birth of somone who almost certainly wasn't born on that day.
-
Why would e say it on Christmas morning?
