I would actually say no, it’s not reasonable to expect the US to be able to ramp up testing ability proportionately as fast as Iceland. Partly due to the extra challenges that sheer geographical scale bring about. You would expect them to be able to be far closer to proportional equivalence than they currently are. And Coreece’s comparison of absolute numbers of tests is obviously irrelevant.

How is that even relevant? It doesn't matter either way, being President isn't a job that any random person of the internet should be able to do well. Doesn't mean we can't identify that it's a job that Trump isn't doing very well, and that your expectations of the President's performance should be a lot higher. Maybe, at the very earliest stages of the outbreak, they were too trusting of what China was saying, but that was all the information that was available at the time. Very, very quickly they reacted to more information becoming available and were sounding warning sirens that were not heeded, publishing advice that was ignored and even offering material help (tests that worked) that was rejected. Trump is attacking the WHO simply because he needs something to attack. It's been said many times that he's been struggling with his PR approach to Covid-19 because you can't insult a virus or call it silly names and that's how he always deflects criticism away from himself. Well now he's found something he can have a fight with, but the way he's doing it is going to have serious real world consequences for a long time to come if the decision is not reversed. He didn't say that. (Regardless, he was President at the time. In the most literal sense he was the only one capable of doing it.) What he actuially said was that he directed the CIA to make finding Bin Laden the priority, and he ordered the attack when they found him. If you're claiming he said more than that, put up or shut up. If you just want to read into it more than he said, that's on you.

Possibly. I actually tried finding out if it caused any discrimination against Spanish speakers around the world but couldn’t find anything either way. By all accounts it was inaccurate though. The pandemic didn’t originate there or was it a particular hotspot - it just so happened that Spain was one of the only countries affected early whose press wasn’t still heavily censored due to the war. It gave the rest of the world the impression that Spain was worst off when they were simply the only people telling the truth.

I’d note that Trump still be-upped Obama by claiming credit for knowing Bin Laden had to be killed before anyone else did, which is about as true as his claim about knowing the pandemic is coming. On your part though, you did more than say Obama claimed credit for authorising the Bin Laden hit, you said he claimed it as his own deeds. What did he say were his own deeds, specifically?
