They really should get around to updating the building code on those Moscow hospitals. So many tragic accidents could be prevented.

Every calendar month, every year? No, I really don't think they did.

My god you are terminally naive. Do you not think that if the FBI collected no evidence that the papers it now possesses were ever present in Trump’s home that Trump’s lawyers would simply claim that they were never there? Has it not crossed your mind that “hey that’s not mine” is a potential defence that LEOs are always aware of and acting to mitigate? It was in a court filing that the court ruled should be released because it’s in the public interest to be aware of how legitimate the search of Trump’s home was. And this photo does exactly that, it shows the legitimacy and necessity of the search warrant. Only the most rabid of Trump cultists like you would ever find a way to claim this shows him to be the victim.

Yes it was staged… and they said it was staged. It was staged to show a quick snapshot of the type of documents they were finding, not to fool anyone into thinking that’s how they were found. So I honestly have no idea what your point is.

I think that’s changed a lot since Jan 6th. Not only do the major law firms not think the publicity is such a good idea anymore, Trump is now used to having lawyers like the Kraken lady who will parrot every outlandish thing he says, and file in court things that no competent lawyer who wants to stay in the Bar would ever file. LegalEagle broke down some of the latest mistakes by his current team that includes high powered individuals like a random insurance lawyer from Maine (or something) including submitting motions to Judges who are completely unconnected to the case, and being unable to even properly file the request to practice in Florida as an out of state lawyer. There are details in the filings they did manage to make that seem like they’ve been dictated directly by Trump and are so legally baseless as to be downright incriminating. Mr Trump's legal team contended he had been engaged in a "standard give-and-take" with the National Archives over the return of his files when the search warrant was executed. The archives were asking him (and subpoenaing him) to comply with the law. Only Trump would think openly declaring that he was trying to negotiate his way out of following all of the law is a smart thing to do in court. “There is no question... that the matters before this court centre around the possession, by a president, of his own presidential records," Again, the law is so clear. They’re not his records. He’s not supposed to have possession of them, that’s the entire point of the PRA. They belong to the country, not to him. “The notion that Presidential records would contain sensitive information should have never been cause for alarm." Right, they never should have been cause for alarm because they should have been secured in a government facility not the unlocked basement of a commercial premises open to the public. If this is the best they’ve got I think he’s actually fucked this time.

Since there won’t be any Republicans or Democrats from the 1850s running in the next set of elections it’s a bit of a moot point really. More of a ‘what have you done for me lately’ kinda deal now.

Ya think? The jealousy doesn’t look good on you.

Really? Now that's a shame.
-
Do you have a point?

That is not what your source says.

One of the latest DoJ filings regarding the previous visit of the FBI to Mar A Lago rips the Fox News talking points and excuses to absolute shreds. ”Why did they need a search warrant? They just had to ask and he’d have handed them over!” “That the FBI, in a matter of hours, recovered twice as many documents with classification markings as the 'diligent search' that the former president's counsel and other representatives had weeks to perform...casts doubt on the extent of cooperation in this matter," ”Why did they need a search warrant now? They’d could have just collected everything when they visited in June. It’s a setup!” “Critically, however, the former president's counsel explicitly prohibited government personnel from opening or looking inside any of the boxes that remained in the storage room, giving no opportunity for the government to confirm that no documents with classification markings remained." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-62732836

If you think that has ever been the case, that’s on you.

Oh indeed the media says something every day. How very perceptive of you. But what about the specific thing that your own source says they don't mention?
-
Wasn’t it Thomas Jefferson who wrote “For protecting the people of Ukraine against the terrors of democracy, Vladimir Putin is the real hero”?

A) That’s some random guy’s blog. B ) It’s speculation about what could happen, not a prediction of what would happen. C) Even the guy you’re citing as proof of liberal propaganda really specifically and clearly states that the liberal media is not saying anything about it.

Changing the subject because you can’t answer the questions? I’m pretty sure that’s against the ‘rules of argument’.
-
So you can redact stuff. Then what's the problem? They didn't shoot any dogs. So what's the problem? It wasn't a fishing expedition since they took stuff they knew was there. So what's the problem?

I’m curious. Say the FBI has an informant who tells them Don Calabrese is storing 500 kilos of coke in his warehouse. If the FBI want to raid that warehouse are you claiming that the US Constitution says they need to publish to the world that it was Jimmy the Fink who told them the coke was there? I don’t think they’d ever get another tip off again, do you?
-
You can read the Declaration of Independence to find out what’s in the constitution? Tell me more…
-
What did the President redact?
-
I think he just clearly explained that he doesn't really think they're equivalent - he just sucks up to anyone he's afraid of. Kinda like the little kid who runs alongside the school bully in a twisted sort of self preservation.

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers

So it says the Trump campaign turned the thieves down flat before Veritas paid. Imagine being arrogant enough to call your organisation ‘Veritas’ while being even less ethical than Trump’s lackeys? -
Germany says coal is more important than people
jakee replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Right about what, exactly? I don’t think you’ve actually put forward any kind of point in this whole thread. Germany’s infrastructure is struggling to cope with its demand for coal after the gas was turned off….. and? -
Germany says coal is more important than people
jakee replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Abandoned? What confuses me is that you’ve linked a page which states Germany is 8th in the world for coal mining and produces 75% of what it consumes. And that the problem they’re currently facing isn’t getting enough coal, but the logistical challenge of moving it around. -
Germany says coal is more important than people
jakee replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Right. Germany let itself get addicted to Russian gas because it’s cheap and easy (exactly the reasons you claim fossil fuel is so amazing at everything) and now you’re arguing that it’s the fault of renewables that the Russian gas is gone. I’ll be honest, I really don’t know what to say to counter that.
