Whats the order here? - Newbie, then enthusiast, veteran???
partyboy replied to partyboy's topic in The Bonfire
I wanted to know when I will go from newbie to enthusiast, or is that the order, I hate being the noob, haha. Yea, but all I wanted to know was that , how many hours or forums, and the eschelon of these experience ratings, lol. Up High!! -
Yea, its always fun to do something that you havent done before, so if you simply are a FF, then just have a steady up-keep with RW, Tracking all that, cause as you all know, when you are better at something, you usually have a better time doing it cause you know whats going on, and you could even make a goal for that jump if you had that knowledge I was talking about. So, dont be all one-way about things, its kinda like being anti-social, all you know is one thing, and cant say nothing about anything else, cause you just dont know, hehe. Up High!!

Any Back Problems In THis Sport??
partyboy replied to partyboy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
cool, how many jumps do you have, I guess when you are talking abiout the tandems, you mean that you are a TM, ? anyway, I hope the best for you and let me no if theres anything else out there you have heard of, PartyBoy Up High!! -
well I just hope that all that damn money is worth it when you want to learn free fly, they make ya do belly trash, hehe, j/k, but near 1000$, I hope there is like a 10-to-1 for free fly to rw practice. Up High!!
-
Yea, these jumps are kick ass, and as said before, its like BASE until you pick up some free fall, so if you Fre Fly, or Rw, use that to some practice for a relaxed set exit, so when you go bak to the plane, maybe you can bulid some exit skillz, lol. PartyBoy Up High!!

Anyone travel with rig during "orange" threat level??
partyboy replied to ccowden's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ok. Listen. I have just travled during this threat level, and I had NO problems. What other people say about the carry on thing, DO IT! take it as a carry on cause TSA is now just understanding what the aad is, and by their standards, if they have any doubt on any package, ANY DOUBT, that means saerch it, which means a reserve repack, and possible tampering with that expensive thing called a cypress/vigil, so please carry it on. It is stated in the baggage rules of the FAA that parachutes are accepted as carry on,s, so if you get any beef, ask for the floor manager, and he/she will no the info. Lastly, have that cypress card, and put the damn thing in a carry bag, dont just wear the rig, cause someone could pull that bull crap where you have a mysterious package?! But do what you like, just helpful hints here, Thats all Besides that, I even asked the floor manager of TSA at that time, and he said that he knew what the aad was, but he sounded all dumb, like " yea, that thing that pulls the pin" and I said yea, that thing, so obviously they are only as educated to know that it is not harmful, the only main concern with flights these days anyways, so keep a lower profile, and politness, it will go straight through the x-ray without question, I promise...PartyBoy One last thing I forgot to mention, dont worry about what if that ask how it works, and all that c02 and explosive nonsense, most really are worried about it passing the x-ray, and with that card, you will prove them wrong every time, and as said before, they really arent that knowlegeable, and really, if they ask one of those retorical questions where any answer is a "wrong" answer, just play the cold shoulder, and feed them the exact opposite of what they are trying to get to, yea. Have fun Man. Up High!! -

partyboy replied to partyboy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If they were to do surgery on this, and yes tear that nice tatoo of yours, would this permanently ground you, or would you be able to get back in the sky again?, of course from your educated knowledge and past experience Up High!! -

Any Back Problems In THis Sport??
partyboy replied to partyboy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I had a back injury from football when I was in high school a few years ago, and when I jump, at the end of the day I can feel where it has inflammed, or come up again.I know this sounds serious to the non-medical personel, but down lower on one of my vertbraes, not the spinal cord people, I had a small fracture. I had it looked at by doctors when it happened, and overall I was all right, but I just wanted to see if I aint the only one out there that jumps with some sort of destraction, or problems from canopy openings or arching, etc. Anyone? I mean, what are some other ways besides a wide leg V to slow down, a bit. Does that help anyone. I am 206mph on my pro track, and I only weigh 160, and Im a newbie, I fall too fast for comfort and I need more drag. Any suggestions please./ Up High!!

Thats cool man, but really I was needing some help, umm, anyone out there?? Up High!!

I have been doing some solo head down jumps lately, and I am a bit too fast with just the wide leg, 'V" shape and arms out to the side. I tried to do a " scissor" like leg position, as if you were standing up on the ground with one leg out in front of you, while the other leg is back, and I bent my knees a bit, will this allow for a slower fall rate, or umm, yea, what am I trying to do with this position..PartyBoy Up High!!

well, I see alot of finals @ 2000, c'mon now if you throw out at 3, sometimes it may take 1000ft for a smooth opening, 1500 is better because by the time you realize it and take proper procedure, its abot2sec, which will have a reserve out, hopefully near900-1000, so umm, mine is 4.5, 3, 1.5 Up High!!

ok, well, I am having the same problem as casedilla is and I tried the excersise as well, but so do you need to like push your legs back, and then kinda twist them or standing up in a twist like form is actually the way to turn, srry, but a bit confused on that explanation... Partyboy Up High!!

I just kep falling straight down and it just feels like the wind has trapped my movements all aoround, all I can do is go back to sit. . . ? oh weell, thnx for your time. Partyboy Up High!!
