  1. I remember Rice saying something along the lines that 'this President will not withdraw from Iraq'. Already setting up the next Prez to be the scape goat and take the blame for Ws several blunders. It's a win win situation for W and his admin. They started the war and dont have to admit that it was a huge mistake.
  2. Is anyone other than "the always credible" Greg Palast making this claim? BTW Palst claim's his net worth is between $200 million and $1 billion. Back in the late 1990s Virginia Business Magazine placed his net worth at aprox 190M, that's 90's USD. Given conservative investments for the last 9 years it's well over 200M. I remember it so well since Robertson was brought up in one of our business classes in college.
  3. Real scary part is that his net worth is at least $200 million and some of the 'charitable' investments he has made. The guy is a freaking scum bag in my book. Pat makes his money off of preaching fear and hatred.
  4. He got into Yale because of his family legacy there. If your father went to an Ivy and was extremely successful and powerful chances are you would get in too even with below average grades. W was also a C student at Yale and he got into Harvard MBA. He applied to Uni of Texas Law School and was denied but he got into Harvard.
  5. Let's say hypothetically speaking I want to invest outside the US or transfer money to overseas bank accounts. I pay taxes here so I should then pay taxes on money I send overseas. It just doesn't make sense. If people want to transfer money overseas let them. Putting restrictions on our currency would only hurt it in the long term. Might as well convert my money to another currency then send it. Like someone said it would make our currency less desirable. Either way it's a global economy and if your major concern is the dollar 'leaving' our economy it will make it's way back. I know in some central american contries the dollar is widely accpeted even in small remote towns. Hell I've been to stores where prices are listed in local currency and USD.
  6. I thought the use of chemical weapons was outlawed by international law, yet we still turned a blind eye when Saddam used them throughout the war with Iran. You cannot hold Saddam 100% responsible. We helped him and really didn't give a crap what he did with those weapons.
  7. Macbook pro if you can afford it. Screw Dell. I made the switch to Macs about a year ago and love it. All I have to say about Macs are they just work. I'm not rebooting ever freaking hour, no virus update software, no windows crap. It just works. Yes they are pricey but I'm willing to pay it for something that works and youre not spending endless hours trying to figure out why the PC you just bought wont play the video you just downloaded or the song you purchased. My mom didn't listen to my advice and went ahead with a dell. She bought it last week with virus software and all that security crap, well today she had to call Geeks Online because it cant access her wireless network and when plugged into the router IE wont open.
  8. Extended fam is in the coffee biz. Here's a good place. Get a decent roaster though. It's fun to experiment and roast your own coffee. Word of advice: roast in garage, outdoors, or well ventilated room. Trust me on this one. http://www.sweetmarias.com/
  9. I like this part. Just like we uprooted WMDs, terrorism and Saddam in Iraq. All Bush has accomplished is to destabilize the region, galvanize terrorists, and destroy our credibility. That article just points fingers at Syria and Iran. And the author wants to invade those regions.
  10. Family friend took me there a few years ago, place blows Ruth Chris out of the water. No comparison. It's exepensive and worth it.
  11. Same here. A programmer screwed up royally now I have to stay late. Working with him now and I wanna kill him. Because of him, myself and four others will be here till at least 6pm.
  12. I'm an excellent public speaker and kick ass at presentations. Really odd part is that one-on-one I'm very shy until I get to know the person. At my current job if my division needs to give a presentation, I'm the first one they call. I had a business plan out of college that I presented to a few VC firms, the plan blew, but several VC execs were impressed that a 22 year old with only a BA could give such a presentation.
  13. Agreed. What bother me is that what Richards did is in the realm of comedy. The guy screwed up, give him a break. No need to crucify the poor bastard. I wonder how the general public would've react if he busted out the Aristocrats joke.
  14. In skydiving terms to me that's 5 thousand dollar blocks at my DZ or a brand new rig.
  15. Yeah it is. I dont know who is worse. OJ is already a scum, but Fox for pursuing this. I feel sorry for Nicole's family though.
  16. Also instead of three meals a day, try eating 5-6 smaller meals. You're still eating the same amount of food but all throughout the day. You wont get that 'I'm starving' feeling. What works for me is the biggest meal of the day is breakfast around 730ish, then I have a snack around 10am, lunch rolls around 12:30-1, then another snack around 3ish finally dinner around 6ish. I try not to eat after 7pm. I try to eat a lot of protein from skinless chicken breast, fish and sometimes red meat. Also most of my snacks are veggies or fruit. Look at your carbs you want complex not simple, and dont be scared of fats in your diet. We need them. Try switching to olive oil when you cook. Drink a ton of water too. I know it might sound like a pain but once you get in the grove it's pretty easy. I've spoken to several trainers, bodybuilders and athletes and all of them agree diet is key. You can work out like a mad man, but if you dont give your body the proper nutrition the results will not show. Hope this helps. PM me and I can recommend a few books on nutrition.
  17. That had to be one of the best scenes ever. Sasha Cohen is a genius. Out of all his characters I dont know which I like best. Bruno is classic too, a gay fashion reporter with a Nazi streak. Where does he get these characters from. I hope fame doesnt go to his head and he starts making crappy films. That would be a shame.
  18. Closest one for me is about 12 miles away near UCLA, but in LA traffic that's about a couple of hours. There's a Fat Burger within walking distance though. On that topic which one do you peeps prefer?
  19. One of the few times I asked someone not to smoke was at a DZ once. He was walking in the packing area with a lit cig. I don't get upset easily, but that one really bothered me. Otherwise smoke away. I know I killed a few thousand brain cells last night at happy hour so who am I to judge.
  20. How feasible would it be to implement that on a grand scale? For example LAX and JFK let alone nationwide. Also how about the expense. Airline companies will flip out if you pass any of the extra cost to them. I'm all for increased security, but where do you plan to get all this money from. We also do want airport security going to the lowest bidder. Just some thoughts.
  21. So, putting these two studies together, it means that those of us with guns will out-breed the liberals who don't have guns. And therefore in the long run, gun ownership levels will rise, and the anti-gun forces will diminish. Woohoo! Testosterone is also known to cause male-pattern baldness in human beings. Throw this one in there and the future will be populated by gun-totting bald men.
  22. I'm an atheists, so here it goes. I don't know. I'm here have a great fam and friends and couldnt ask for more. Will I ever learn the purpose of life, no. Do I try to make this world a better place, I'm trying. I love life period. I love waking up at the crack of down and surfing with my friends, love the feeling of hanging out the door of an otter waiting for the count. Love my fam and friends. I turn to my fam, friends and myself. I'm in control of my life and if I need to change things in it I will. I dont believe in a higher power that is in control of my fate or will bail me out when in trouble. For example, I currently hate my job and want to change fields. I'm not going to pray to a higher power to change things for me. I'm looking into different fields and talking to people in them. The balls in my court and it's all upto me. Fam, friends and myself. Like I said before I hate my job so it's a bit of a drag on things right now. But I know things will change because I'm in control and busting my ass to get out of this field. I hope I answered your questions.
  23. For me Nazism is very similar to Fascism, what distinguishes it from the latter is the obsession with racial theories of superiority. I wouldn't classify Nazism as left wing either. Hitler sent a few of them and socialist to the camps in 1934.
  24. I agree with you and Vinny 110%, but what about when McDonald's targets children with their marketing campaigns.
  25. You mean like making an effort to stop the atrocities of the tyrant Sadamm Hussien? The libs are really supporting that humanitarian effort. Twenty years ago he wasn't a tyrant in our eyes. Remember who supported him in the 80's against Iran. Also don't tell me we didn't know the SOB he really was. Read up on your Iraqi history. SH was a cold blooded killer and our best friend at one point in time. Do you really think we cared about what was going on back then and the thousands of people his regime tortured and killed.
