When you take your rig ,check it in. DO NOT give it directly to your airline,tell them what is in it and they will tag it and let you hand it to the screeners. Tell them what it is let them x-ray it then lock it .It shouldn't be a problem. Yes I did...I realize I'm A fucking idiot! I got trashed and drove around California for 3 1/2 hours trying to find my way home. evidently I went over 100 miles out of my way doing it. I didn't get hurt . No one else did either. I was lucky. Learn from my mistake! please!
