    Um...high fives? No, never okay. If you're comfortable and adult enough to be in a pile of naked bodies. You ought to be doing it because there is attraction and desire. Not because of a need to reinforce yours or someone elses perception of your prowess in the sack. So henceforth, no high-fives and no freaking out if there is contact. If you think you might freak out if someone touched you, or if you touched someone, then maybe you should stick to one-on-one...or solo. If you don't have those hangups, feel free to PM me.

    got a ramp check at an airshow and the Faa guy was really nice. Yeah, some of us can surprise you and actually turn out to be human Seroiusly, most of us ARE nice, it's just the few "Wyatt Earp" types that give the rest of us a bad name.     Yeah, I remember Turkey Meet at Z-hills in the late 80's. Had Mr. D, Southern Cross, and Our Douglas. As I recall we called it "Hour and a half Douglas" because that's about how long it took to climb to altitude. Anybody remember Lucaya Air? Wonder where that heap is. BSBD Henry

    We have a DVD that Kelicopter bought from BBC America only to find out it is in PAL format and has not been/ will not be produced in NTSC format. The video companies that we've contacted all refuse to convert it because of copywriite stuff. Not trying to steal anything, we just want to be able to watch it on our DVD player. No intention of selling copies. Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can convert this damn thing?

    Just make sure to UNDO any temporary rigging. This whole thread reminds me of the time one of our jumper/ pilots at Palatka gave himself a pc in tow. He rode his motorcycle to the dz, and with no gear bag, he used a bic ballpoint pen to lock the main container closed on his SST Racer, so it didn't deploy and yank him off his bike. Of course, we were loading when he arrived and he ran to the Beech 18, throwing on legstraps as he boarded. You can figure out he rest. He never removed the pen, and didn't get a gear check. That Strong Lopo reserve did certainly kick his ass when he opened slightly head down...at terminal...with his main pc waving uselessly behind him...Ahh the good old days. So...just be sure to undo whatever field expedient closing technique you use. BSBD

    Not sure I completely agree. But that's beside the point. If one is inclined to forge a data card they should be aware of FAA Order 2150.3A "Compliance & Enforcement Program". Specifically Appendix 5, provides that "any person who knowingly forges, counterfiets, alters, or falsely makes any certificate....blah, blah...shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of $500 for a first offence and $2000 for a second offence". Here's the kicker..."each day of such violation shall constitute a separate offence". So it's not just the rigger you are putting in jeapardy, but you could also be putting yourself in line for a sizeable fine. Not trying to be the a$$hole FAA guy. I'm a jumper too and am not fond of the current repack cycle requirement. But, until USPA is successful at getting it extended, it is what it is. Just an FYI. (If anyone has more specific questions on the legal stuff, feel free to PM me.)

    Not to many people know about that situation. That is one of the reasons why I despise the FAA. I hope you despise only the bad part. i work for the FAA and am not happy about what *some* people did with regard to Bob. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.
