Hi all, I am getting a new rig next with a sabre2 170 loaded at just under 1.2....question is on a no wind day what is the best flare for canopy of this type....all at once or staged? have been jumping a safire 190 seems to like a smooth all the way flare...any help would appreciated.....thanks --------------------------------------------------

Your right on that AggieDave, I flare down my sides. I am however starting the flare uneven from the start and even out on the way down, but by then I already induced a slight turn, which with some wind always gets worse (of course), but looking out has allowed me to recognize this so much earlier that I can easily correct it with a slightly quicker opposite toggle till I get canopy back overhead then I finish the flare straight, Thanks for the input --------------------------------------------------

just want to say thanks to all the folks posting their well earned wisdom for all to see....been reading threads in here about looking towards the horizon to help with the flare height...Never had any trbl with judging the height but have been lately not flaring evenly and turning.....looking at the ground caused me not to see what was happening above.. Made 2 jumps today and had to correct for uneven falre on both, but I was looking out more towards the horizon and could correct it more quickly...made 2 nice landing because of that.... Made my pre-second dive today with a new parasport z1 evo sti and a new neptune. Helment has built in port fot audible, looks great. But here is the kicker, I can not hear alarms during freefall. Can hear harddeck alarm under canopy. Did same on 2nd dive....Ques is has anybody ran into this and what did they do to fix this short of cutting up a brand new helment liner. I don't have anything from Parachi yet, but am getting a pair ofn rw pants made. Have heard nothing but good about the quality of suits and the service both before and after getting them..Chi Chi is a great lady up at skydiveAirtight in Ok. The price is good and the quality is great, so try her out. --------------------------------------------------

hey seakev if you are going by VSE look for a rig that is black w/navy blue and yellow on back w/navy blue webbing if you would be so kind.....going on 6 weeks since I ordered and it sure would help those sleepless night knowing my new baby is almost done. Jumped The Farm for the 1st tme Sunday and can say this is a top notch DZ... With acres of landing area even people like me can make it to the ground... The staff is great and willing to help you in any manner you need.....The people diving here are the greatest, even if you are a low timer there are people here who would love to dive with you.....The folks here are just as friendly as on any DZ.. If you are looking for a no pressure, kick your feet up and have fun DZ, The Farm is it... P.S> can't beat the price either

been 10 looooong days since I ordered rig, I do believe I will die before it gets here, think I am getting a aneurism....I had a dream my rig was on a brown truck that I could not get to stop, woke up screaming noooooooooooooooooo stop..... well as you can see I am pumped about this new setup, can't wait.... --------------------------------------------------

ordered my first new rig last week, so I have no pics yet....Will post pics when I get it....Now between now and when I get the new rig I have to figure out how to sleep, I am chomping at the bits and it has only been a week...may be brain dead before it gets here or lets say more brain dead.....done babbling for today --------------------------------------------------
